I haven't checked out any others except for Bobbi Brown's, and that one I found very boring. I may have to look into these next time I hit the book store.

I have to get to the book store and check out some books....

Thanks for all the great suggestions ladies!! I hope I can find some of these at my library because my amazon.com wishlist just exploded!

I'm going to see if I can get it from Amazon, because I think I'd have to find a specialist theatrical store to find it otherwise.

I love the Aucoin books, but seldom use them. Sonia Kashuk's book it great. The Nars book was a huge disappointment; I swapped it away. The Bobbie Brown book for adults is pretty good too.
I've stopped reading the Paula Begoun book altogether because I don't think they offer very good info. She doesn't test products on enough people for her conclusions to be valid and she kis biased as she has her own line.

I love the books from Kevyn Aucoin. He was a real artist!

I didn't like the NARS book, only a few wearable looks!

The book from Bobbi Brown is great for background information, but the makeups are pretty boring, only natural colors, but that's the BB philosophy!

I have Kevyn Aucoin's Face Forward and a Bobbi Brown book. Mostly I get tips from the net and magazines. That Sonia Kashuk and Vogue book looks great too.

I ended up buying Trish McEvoy "The Power of Makeup" and Kevyn Aucoin "Face Forward".

The TM book is nice, I'm in LOVE with the look on the back cover, but there aren't enough photos to show technique. She's also really selling her products in this book.

The KA book is great! Tons of photos and ideas from "you only better" looks to fantasy MU looks.

Believe it or not, when I was about 16, I wanted to seriously learn how to apply makeup, so I bought Cindy Crawford's Basic Face. It was a great beginner's guide to applying makeup!!

I just purchased the book by Nars and KA Making Faces. I love them both. I plan to get the Trish book next week.

I attempted to pick up a copy of Trish McEvoy: The Power of Makeup on Friday. There was only one left, though, and it wasn't in perfect condition. I'll have to look again when my husband and I go to the mall this week.

I purchased Trish McEvoy: The Power of Makeup: Looking Your Level Best at Every Age & Bobbi Brown Beauty in April. I like both, equally. Although, I tend to look through Trish McEvoy's book more often. I love the photos of her makeup brushes.

Hey Jennifer,
Check out Strand Bookstore (12th and Broadway??). Books will also be reduced in price. I forgot to add Kevyn's "Beautiful Life". I got this at Strand last year for about 10.00/USD.
