<!-- /PARAGRAPH OBJECT -->Stewart and a team of fellow inmates at a federal prison camp in Alderson, West Virginia, crafted paper cranes to be hung from the ceiling, People magazine reported in an article posted on its Web site Wednesday. They lost out to a competing team that built a nativity scene showing "pictures of snow-covered hills and sleds and clouds on the wall," the magazine quoted an inmate as saying.

Each team was given $25 worth of glitter, ribbons, construction paper and glue to build a display based on the theme "Peace on Earth," the magazine said.

Stewart was convicted along with her stockbroker of lying about why she unloaded shares of ImClone Systems Inc. stock in 2001, just before the price plunged.

She is due to be released in early March from Alderson, then must spend five months confined to her home in Bedford, New York.

Following the house arrest, she is scheduled to begin shooting a daytime talk show with a live studio audience.

i'm not surpirsed. i hear that 90% of her ideas in her magazine, books & on TV come from her staff. i like MS, but it's nice to see that she's not totally perfect.

Cranes... Christmas.... Cranes... Christmas - why don't I see the relation there? LOL At least if you look at a Nativity scene, you know the theme is something to do with Xmas.

LOL....I thought the exact same thing, Cranes for Christmas? What am I missing here? It just kind of reminds me of something that happened here in my home town years ago, they always used to put a big Santas sleigh with plastic reindeer up on the town square at Christmas time, some whiz kid with the Chamber of Commerce thought it would be a good idea to replace the reindeer with Pink Flamingos one year, even though we are in Florida, it didn't go over well at all.<TABLE width="70%"><TBODY><TR align=left><TD align=middle width=288>
