Read an article on madisonmag.com.au's Lipstick Jungle blog about using mineral makeup and a brush to combat dark under-eye circles.

has anyone tried this? I am almost always low in iron (vege) and the circles are really annoying

I tend to have dark circles as well, and I got myself a concealer brush and some undereye concealer from Lilylolo. The concealer is called Peep, and it works a treat! I usually moisturise, put on eye cream, let sink in, then apply a layer of matte finishing powder, then the undereye concealer and any other concealer I need, then my MMU foundation and the rest. I look even and well rested this way!

I've tried a couple of times but I find it drying. So better put some eye cream/moisturiser first before you apply it.

I also mix in a bit of a matte yellow , or it can be applied seperately w/ concealer brush to further brighten / conceal the area

I sell mineral makeup which is a natural mineral supplement for your skin. You can apply mineral makeup wet or dry. I have a whole list of "How-To's" at my .com website.
Mineral makeup helps heal acne, is anti-inflammatory (without Bismuth Oxychloride) and is recommended by surgeons and dermatologists worldwide to conceal post-operative scars, acne, freckles, veins, skin discolorations, rosacea.

It has no expiration date and does not support bacteris. You can sleep in it.

Mostly, people use the color Bisque, a multi-use concealer/foundaqtion for under eyes. If you are a woman of color, you would go deeper in color. Whether you have red or yellow undertones, a custom foundation or any other multi-use color can be created just for your particular skin needs.

I wrote Mineral Makeup 101 in my blog on Ning AND Indiepublic.com Just do a google search, and you'll find me on the front page.

MMU is the *only* thing I can brush on under my eyes and not have it caked into those wrinkles by the end of the day! I still depend on adding a little yellow cream concealer every once in a while, though, for that damn blue stripe that the minerals just can't get to....

Using yellow pigment with a blue base (your veins, etc.), creates a green color. Using a color wheel, you can basically figure out what colors blended together create. Blue + yellow = green.
Try mixing rose, yellow and blue = shades of brown.

Yeah when I wear mmu I use a concealer brush and a shade a little lighter and yellower then my foundation color for the circles, it works pretty good. When I use other types of foundation I use benefit lemon-aid, boi-ing, and the eyebright pencil. I've also used a white eyeliner pencil, tracing the circle and then blending well, this works good too.

I use Dior Skinflash as a base for covering my dark circles, on top I put some mineral concealer, like Lily Lolo Peep-O or Pure Luxe Apricot Enhancer. At the moment I'm trying out Meow concealers which seem to be really nice.

Yeah, I've always mentioned that there is no need to buy a separate mineral concealer, when you can use your mineral foundation with a concealer brush to cover dark circles and marks...
