I've strayed a way from MMU for a few months now and my skin is feeling it... or rather showing it.

I quit wearing it because of the brands/colors I've been using. I dunno what it is, I guess I just don't like them. Maybe everything seems so dry on my face because its gotten so cold. Anyway, I want to try something new.

So suggest something to me that I haven't tried yet!

I have tried:

Everyday Minerals

Elegant Minerals

Lumiere

Signature Minerals

Ocean Mist Cosmetics

aubrey nicole

KT Naturals (it made me itch!!)

everything seems to go on too dry or cakey... i really like the finish of EDM's original glow, though. its just too dry, too!

help me please! i miss MMU!!! ;__;

I keep bouncing back and forth too... Right now I am back to liquid , which I prefer in the winter.

I know what you mean. Now that it's colder here, I've switched to my usual tinted moisturizer. As for MMU, why don't you give Silk Naturals a shot? It wasn't drying on me and I've got combo skin. Just make sure to let your moisturizer sink in first.

I think Silk Naturals is a good choice, or Lumiere in their new cashmere formula. You can also try Meow, but it may be drying.

For dry skin the foundations with the silk powder will be the best choice.

I may try Silk Naturals.. or Tru Minerals. Or maybe I should start turning my MMU into tinted moisturizer?

I totally understand...I feel the same way. I feel as though I want to do something good for my skin. But, after a few applications, I hate whatever is on my skin. Then I try another method or another company and it goes the same way every time. I am really contemplating going to liquid again. I just don't know where to turn either. I'v tried about 15 or so different ones.
Good luck!

I have two brands to suggest to you...Alima and Aromaleigh. I really, really like the finish that Alima gives and it is so finely milled that it seems to just meld into my skin and does not look cakey or dry. I am kind of surprised that Alima is not discussed more here on the message boards since in my opinion it is better than a lot of the mineral foundations I have tried (which have been around a dozen or so).

Another one I have to recommend to you is Aromaleigh. They carry two foundation formulas....Voile and Glissade. I would HIGHLY recommend Glissade to you since it is designed to not be drying to your skin and is great for people who tend to have dry and/or sensitive skin anyway. It is available in approximately shades. I live in Pennsylvania where we have pretty cold winters and I used Glissade the past several winters and it was absolutely wonderful to use. I started out my use of MMU with Aromaleigh- they are a tried and true favorite of mine. You can read a very detailed description of the benefits of the Glissade foundation on the company's website. Hope this helps!

thank you! those definitely sound promising! my face aches for them... lol! do they offer samples? glissade sounds so nice i want to feel it on my face now!

It was not the MMU with me, it was my moisturizer. I use Meow FF and love the results. Try emu and/or camillia oil before application, I mix both and it helps the application stay smooth and my skin stays hydrated.

Yes, Aromaleigh offers samples of virtually all of their products, including their foundations. The foundation samples are $2.20 each and you receive 1/4 teaspoon in a Ziplock baggie. There is free shipping when placing an order of strictly samples only which you can select for your order when you checkout from the drop-down menu for shipping options. I would say that Glissade is definitely worth a try! Oh, by the way, it did not block my pores or make me break out or anything. I like Glissade so much that I think I am going to order a jar for this winter (even though a jar has always lasted me at least six months, using it every day).

I'm waiting for my Luminiere Cashmere samples to arrive, so I can't comment on those yet. I have really dry skin, and the only one so far that I like is Purely Cosmetics. They have 1gm samples in sifter jars so that you can try before you buy. Of all of them, EM was the cakiest on me. I just make sure to apply my foundation right after moisturizing, and have no problems.

maby you can try monave? monave not drying at all!!

and why aromaligh dont shipp international??

this is not fair!!

:)

Aromaleigh used to ship internationally, but they discontinued it several months ago. I think they said that they had too many problems with lost packages and/or packages getting held up a really long times at customs in different countries...I know the owner of Aromaleigh went into great detail to explain everything. Maybe some day she will have a change of heart and decide to try international shipping again. I know there are a good many people that would like to try Aromaleigh that live outside of the U.S.

Hi

This brand isn't talked about much, try Fusion of Color. I have been using it about 3 years and tried other brands usually too drying, chalky or makes me break out and I always go back to them

I am in Canada and some companies won't ship to Canada. Oh well...their lost. There is some MMU companies in Canada but overall I am very happy with the MMU companies in the US.

sorry what is CP? PLEASE.. MY ENGLISH IS NOT VERY VERY WELL AS YOU SEE.. :)

CP = Custom Purchase

This is where you make an arrangement with another member. She buys the product on your behalf from the company and ships to you directly. You pay her directly. I also had never heard the term until I started visiting makeup boards.

hi!

did you try the foundations? please?

Fushion of Color has some good reviews also on www.minerakeupmania.com

you mean to ask another member to buy for me? and to send her the shipping pay?

I try to understand.. :)
