Nose contouring

does anyone shade their nose to narrow it? i had a rhinoplasty done two years ago and the swelling never went away (as you can see in my profile picture) i know there are people out there with bigger problems but its pretty devastating for me and affecting my day to day life to the point where i hate meeting people and speaking to people cos i know how bad it looks. i'm always trying to shade it to slim it down but i dont think i'm doing it right at all.

can anyone recommend a contouring brush or shade that would work? i use bronzer - is that right? thanks in advance for any help you can give me xx

I remember there was a video with Tyra Banks showing how to contour your nose or a guest that was showing people how to do it on her show....but now i can't find it! grrr.

This is something I know a little about. You can use bronzer or foundation a few shades darker than your normal color. I use a brown eyeshadow from Ulta. You can run a stripe of highlighter down the center of your nose. Of course, everything must be blended. I use contour to give me more prominant cheekbones, shape my face a little better and to make my chin look a little smaller. It's not magic, but it helps.

thank you! i think where i'm going wrong is the colour. i never know how much darker it should be.

I use a bronzer to shade the sides of my nose as well.

yes i agree, go on you tube and search "nose contouring" or just "contouring" there are alot of helpful videos. and yes bronzer can be used for contouring

If you use a highlighter such as Stila's, or Benefit's High Beam/MoonBeam/Hollywood Glo and apply it to the bridge of your nose
