I am trying ever so hard to keep telling myself I don't NEED things, and therefor shouldn't sweat the stuff I cannot have....

But then every other week MAC releases something so amazing, like PARROT! and reminds me how much I wish I could buy anything my little heart desired.

That and Everyday minerals kits.

They package them so cheap, I am barely hanging on here peoples.

Please come comiserate with me. lol

Or better yet, I am debating doing a mystery box swap. Like getting rid of everything I don't use/need for new things(used but new to me)

smart?

Sound off for me=)

I found that being held accountable works. Post a ticker on your signature and set a time were you are on a no-buy. I have done those in the past and it helps.

OR you can set aside some spending cash for every month or however long you want to do it and spend on that day. Which is basically a no-buy, but you have a limit amount of cash to spend. I did that for 2 months and saved up $600... now ask me where is all that money and why I still have a debt, I have no clue.

I'm right there with you, LilRay. And I have no idea! LOL! I'm going to try going on a no-buy on January 1st because I have way too much mu I don't use and I don't need to spend anymore money on it even though I want to! I'm going to start with a short one...like a month and see how I do. If I can do that, then I'll try a longer one. I don't want to set myself up for failure by saying I'll do a 6 month no-buy because I know I won't last that long. I'm doing the baby-steps method.

I wish I knew the answer to that! It seems like I want everything and it's so hard to stop myself from buying more stuff even though I know I don't need it. I'm going to try to go on a no buy starting in January too, hopefully I can do it!

That and Everyday minerals kits. I've just ordered a kit from EDM and I just told myself that I won't order anything for a few month but of course I keep checking sites and dreaming about ordering everything I want, lol.
