Who here has takin pregnancy tests and it came back negative but you went to the doc just in case and it came back that you were? Im not but Ive takin 2 of them now and they both came back negative. I was suppose to get my period on the 1st and it still isnt here yet so idk whats up. I get cramps like Im gonna start it but nothing happens. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I told myself that if I dont get my period by friday that I was going to call the doc to see if I could get it. Im confused. Also my boobs are sensative.

Period dates can be off by a couple days if there has been a change in your daily routine. Stress can also throw off your period easily.

Pregnancy tests are usually very accurate as long as you take them within days of your missed period. The pregnancy tests at the doctor's office are very similar to the store bought tests. However, you can ask for a blood test if you think you are really pregnant. Blood tests measure your hormonal level and can even tell you how far along you are in the pregnancy.

Tests are more likely to show false positives than false negatives and the tests available these days pick up hormone changes much sooner than they did when I was pregnant. Not to say it doesn't happen but a blood test is the most definitive answer. Your hormone levels do fluctuate and as lelenn said other things can affect you. Have you been late before or are you usually very regular???

Ive been late before by a couple days but this has been the longest. Im not really stressed and my daily routine hasnt changed. I do the same thing everyday. I just dont know what it could be caused from. I havent gained or lost any weight so I know its not from that. Im confused and some what scared.

I suggest you take another urine test. If it still comes out negative then you should definitely go to the doctor's for a blood test. Sore breasts are usually the first common symptom for pregnant women. However, every woman is different. Be sure to tell your doctor of your symptoms. He/She may be able to explain what's going on.

Yea I told myself and my boyfriend that if I dont get my period by friday then Im going to call the doc and see what they think I should do. So hopefully I'll know something soon.

I was late by about a week (I was on the pill so I was regular). I took a few tests b/c I wanted to know. It was negative. I didnt tell my fiance until I started my period, I didnt want to freak him out too unless I was pregnant. I started my period the day after I took the test, lol.

Yea well its been over a week now and still nothing. I took one the day before yesterday and no period. I took one yesterday and still no period. I dont think I am cuz he never did anything if you know what I mean so idk whats up. I got put on the pill when I was like 16 to make my periods regular and to help make the cramps not so bad. Ever since then Ive been regular. So idk whats goin on with my body or whatever.
