My birthday passed last month and my friends and family were always "well what do you want for your birthday?" so the non-selfish me says, "Oh nothing, nothing at all. You don't need to get me anything!" So 'fess up what do you REALLY want for your birthday?

Mine passed a few months ago, I asked for and received a treadmill.  What I want is a new toned healthy body which I am working towards as I lost 32lbs off my frame and a new wardrobe.  I'll need another 28lbs to go away and another new wardrobe hopefully in another 4 months.

As a person grows up, I think the best gift ever is good health and guidance from God.

I did not celebrate birthday until I got married. When hubby asked me what I want for my birthday -- yeah the usual nothing response. But heck, so sweet, he bought me a BMW x5.

Never expected such sweet present!

I have never said I want Nothing for my birthday.  That's crazy and a lie.  When my kids as, I tell them to think what they think I would need or like but I never say I don't want anything.  People only perceive your worth from the price you set for yourself.  If you tell them you are not as worthy of a gift as they are, then that's what they will believe.

I love my birthday so much, I take a week off from work as my birthday week.  My whole team knows its when it's my birthday week because I am not there.  I buy myself a birthday present and then my DH takes the kids shopping for theirs and then I tell him what I want.  Its usually a kitchen appliance or home tool or gadget thats useful.  I buy my own frivolous things.

I never say "nothing". I just point folks to my Amazon wishlist (which has stuff from many other retailers as well). However, I HAVE found that my old man actually does better when I DON'T give him any hints--he finds weirdly amazing stuff that we never even knew existed. Like, this year, he got me a vintage Jack Wagner long-sleeved t-shirt (don't judge!) and a vintage denim jacket with one of my favorite pieces of artwork silk-screened on the back. That's not the kinda stuff you can plan for, but it sure as shootin' made me squeal like a child.

LOL... I judged but dude is still HOT so you passed judgement ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  That's awesome that he went out of his way to find the weird and wonderful - focus on the wonderful and not just weird.

Hahaha @ Jack Wagner. I had the biggest crush on him when he was on General Hospital. I loved watching Frisco and Felicia! I used to go to school part time and worked full time and when I got home I would watch my recorded General Hospital and go into an exhausted coma.

As for my birthday I would say a new food processor. My old one is about dead and I would really love a new one. My birthday is in less than a month so I don't see that happening but I can dream haha.

Yup, it was Frisco and Felicia that did it for me, too. I "may" own two of his albums on vinyl...I "may" own a 45 of "All I Need"...and I DO own at least one CD and all of his stuff that's been released via iTunes (You're starting to see why i say "don't judge", eh?)
