Question of the Day- Christmas Music

So we already started playing Christmas cds at work, and we can't stop untill christmas is over...so thats over a month of me being there listening to nothing but christmas music for over 40 hours a week....don't get me wrong I love christmas but hearing the same version of santa baby at least 8 times a day is going to kill me. So on to my question, since I'm authorized to choose what music we play I'm going to make a couple Christmas cd's, but I've never been that into christmas music. So that's where you guys come in! What are your favorite Christmas songs that won't make me want to pull my hair out? Haha. They can be from any musical genre as long as they don't have any real cursing.

im with you it makes me crazy! At work we have like 5 different cds which is good. We agreed we wont start untill after thanksgiving. my favorite one alternates "regular" music with xmas. I dont have any songs I dont hate, but maybe that will help you?

It does suck when you are at a business that plays christmas music all day. I'm sure my restaurant will start playing it after Thanksgiving too. My favorite Christmas song ever is "O Holy Night" I like Celine Dions version. Kenny G's album is nice too becuase it's mostly just instrumental.

Last year I made a CD with like over 40 songs on it. There's a WIDE variety! Everything from Alvin and The Chipmunks to Elvis to Ray Charles to Marilyn Monroe. All of the classics, and then those we all loved as kids (Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer LMAO). I even have "Ave Maria" on it

i too like classical or instrumental christmas music...stuff without lyrics is usually fine to me, it's more mood music and less like nonstop caroling.

eh, as a kid, i liked deck the halls, god rest ye merry gentlemen, and some of the Chipmunks Christmas songs

i love "the sugar plum fairy" by Tchakovsky (spelling) and The Bell Carol. Also it's annoying to listen to xmas music all day but its only a month or so, heh.

why don't you burn a cd and see if you can kind holiday tunes from movies you liked. Or more offbeat picks like Happy Xmas (the war is over) by john Lennon...there are more but i just can't think. I do not like the holidays as I used to! Not in the least!

Harry Connick Junior has the most awesome christmas CD. and you can never go wrong with just plain orchestral productions... they just fade into the background.

I LOVE Christmas music, then again I don't have a job where I have to listen to it being played over and over. My fav song is "Sleigh Ride" any version as long as it sounds good lol. I also like that song that goes "Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, I think I'll miss this one this year" (hehe I love the Spice Girls' version!)

Celine Dion's Christmas CD, I LOVE it

The Time Life Christmas set- it's greta if you love the old fashioned kind of music like Elvis, Brenda Lee, Perry Como, Burl Ives, Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald. I play those CDs so much.

If you like swing sounds, check out the Brian Setzer Orchestra Christmas CD, it's awesome too

Mannheim Steamroller CDS are good too

To me.... Boney M is the BEST christmas cd EVER!!! But i love christmas music and have been itching to listen to it ince October hahah. Rememberance Day is the day i start listening ,,,,every year.
