Quick Question--Do you randomly get Sephora points?

idk if this is the right forum, but I occasionally get random points added onto my account with no explanation. I just logged in a second ago, and it showed:

• MY BEAUTY BANK POINTS 763
• POINTS EARNED TODAY 75
  
• total points available 838
  

For all I know it'll disappear in the next hour--I don't really keep track of my points--but I feel like this has happened to me more than once. It doesn't show anything new in my purchase history, and there's really no explanation for it. Do you see 75 random extra points too?

Something weird did happen to me a couple years ago--someone else's purchases were accredited to my account, so my points went from like 50 to 120. But that time, I could see all the purchases and where they were made.

Well first, the 75 points are because you probably have $75 in your cart. Second, It could be that someone a few years ago was shopping and when it comes time to link BI cards to the purchase, the associate might have made a mistake and linked your account by accident

The points earned today could be coming from your shopping cart - do you have items in your cart?

But I do get points added to my account and items that I didn't purchase show up in my purchase history all the time. When I opened my BI account the sales lady misspelled my name so, since it happens pretty frequently I'm starting to think that someone has that same name, she goes into a Sephora, she gives her name at the register, and they click on my BI account. All my purchases show up on my account and I can log into my account on Sephora. When I purchase in store I give them my email because I know my name is misspelled. Weird...but I haven't complained yet

Ohh that probably explains the purchase history; I haven't noticed anything since that one incident; I have a pretty unique name and email address so I didn't think it was possible for someone to accidentally spell my email instead.
