Rave for Loreal HIP Cream Eyeliner

Ok, call me makeup goofie, but I've never been a fan of any gel eyeliner. It smears, doesn't dry quick enough, doesn't go on dark enough.. I've just had the worse experience with them.. had an assistant once put on gel eyeliner without my knowledge on a beauty editorial shoot that ruined the makeup. smeared under the eyes... would not come off. i was furious and literally took me another hour to clean up and redo the whole makeup (in photo, you just cannot make mistakes..ever...)

PR sent me Loreal's Cream Eyeliner that I love! Super black, goes on smooth, dries quick... looks great, specially for the holiday season.

Am I missing something here? Aren't all gel eyeliners supposed to set quick? Am I applying it wrong?

I love this stuff, too! People often think it's a knockoff of MAC's Fluidline but it's a much different consistency and, in my opinion, a much better product. Easy-to-use, lasts all day, stays true to color, and costs less! What's not to love?

Yeah Loreal HIP liner is awesome, not really comparable to a gel eyeliner cause it is a cream and not a gel.

Great!! I have to try that!! I've been looking for a replacement for my Maybelline Eye Experss liner they discontinued earlier this year... Plus Walgreens has a buy one get one free on all L'oreal HiP products going on right now too!! Save even more!

Last all day? Uhm, try several days. LOL I put that stuff on on a Friday night and it was still there on Sunday morning. I just did regular face washing to see how long it would last. It came off easily with EVOO though. I love it!

FYI, my Wal-Greens is having a BOGO free sale on HIP this week. I don't know if that's at all of them, just thought I'd mention it.

I just wish it were available in more colors. I recently bought Midnight Blue thinking it would be a bright, electric blue but it's a Navy color which I'm not wild about. I would like to try the jade color, though.

I want the eggplant color, every walgreens i go into is sold out of it. They have black, brown, teal, the dark blue and eggplant.

I swatched it on my hand when I first bought it and everything else I tested on my hand washed right off afterwards except for this stuff. It had worn off by the next morning though. It hasn't stained my eyelids, maybe thanks to the primer and eyeshadow thats already there.

I went to Walgreens today to get some since it's bogo but they didn't have eggplant so I didn't get any.

At least I know it's not just my Walgreens.

What's not to love? I totally agree, I do think its a knockoff of MACs fluidline (the way it looks) but the consistency is way different! I got it during a buy one get one free deal at walgreens on Thanksgiving day so 2 for 12 bucks. Its also bigger than the MAC pot so thats pretty cool! I'm just not sure if you can wear the HIP cream eyeliner as an "eyeshadow" the way you can with the MAC fluidline. Ill try it out one day.

Dont mean to sound stupid but whats the differnce between gel and liquid? I use liquid on top and generally the swivel pencils for lower.
