Schwan's food

A guy came to our house today and delivered this Schwan's food catalog. I had never heard of it. SCHWAN'S®: Fine Frozen Foods Delivery Service, Online Grocery Shopping & Home Food Delivery

The concept is, you pick the frozen things you want; then they come with their truck and deliver food to you... Most things are pre-made (at least pre-seasoned, some pre-cooked). It looks pretty good and it is reasonably priced in my opinion.

Does anybody have experience with this company? I am thinking about ordering some stuff to take to the hospital... I am tired of eating cookies for lunch!!!!

gosh... they used to come to our house all of the time... lol, i don't remember if my parent's used to buy their food. I know we ALWAYS bought boxes of ice cream sandwiches though. Hehe...

i haven't seen a schwan truck in the longest time! i guess there isn't anyone in my new neighborhood that gets schwan's.

They have the Schwan TV dinners at grocery stores here but I don't really like the food. I'm a picky eater though.

My parents get food from the Schwan man. It is really good. The ice cream is delicious. I remember liking the sandwiches, chicken bites, and juices.

I've never tried them but they look yummy!!! Did you see the broccoli soup on a bread "bowl" it's so cute!

Their food is so yummy and well worth it. I buy it all the time. They have some awesome garlic toast. The seasoned chicken breast is good too. Also if you like chocolate they have some Mississippi mud ice cream sandwiches that rock!

I think I will be ordering some tomorrow..... No deserts, just fish, pasta, rice and veggies. Let's see how it goes!

I got some stuff today! Got some Salmon, Mahi Mahi, Teriaki chicken for Jamie, mediterranean veggies, tortelini, mini bowtie pasta with veggies, and pierogies.

The guy gave us free ice cream too! I will post a review after I try it all.

Schwan's comes to our office which is very nice and easy for those that order often. I've only tried some tiramisu dessert that wasn't very good but I'm not a big fan of that dessert anyway. I use to stay with my aunt in the summers and she always bought thier ice cream (yummy) and corn dogs (those were good for the age I was).

Yeah I remember we used to order schwans food all the time! Mostly the icecream and stuff, although their tv dinners were good, this was a while ago, back in middle school. I honestly thought they went out of business, I didn't think they were still around!!!

Update: Tried the Mahi Mahi and the mediterranean veggies and they were super yummy. I was quite happy with the meal. Jamie liked his Teriyaki chicken too.

And the ice cream is soooo smooth and yummy! YUM!

I used to order from them for a couple of years. The food is quick and pretty good. I found I was ordering ALOT of stuff (when I didnt need it) and stopped to save some $, fresh is cheaper but a few people order in the neighborhood and if I want something now I just stop and ask him.

sounds delicious...i've heard of it but personally haven't tried it.
