Sketchy (new?) subscription website

Hi Ladies,

So, okay - first off all.. I could kick myself in the ass but I DON'T have the link to this site. Here's the back story:

Yesterday night, in bed, I was browsing a forum (not make up related) on my phone while laying in bed. This ad came up, and I accidentally clicked on it. It's one of those personalized ads that kind of "follow" you around from website to website, I'm not sure if that's Adsense or what it is. Well, anyway, I click on this ad and here's what I noticed right away:

1) The website that comes up has a layout that looked like they copied it from Birchbox 

2) The pictures of 'THEIR' boxes were pictures of the last two Glossyboxes from the US!!!

WTF? I closed out of it and thought to myself "you gotta remember this site and ask about it/warn about it on MuT". Here I am, 24 hours later and my mind is blank, I have NO clue what the site was called. I also can't seem to find that darn ad (trust me, I tried - I refreshed the forum I saw it on 373738 times). I can't pull up a browse history on my phone, can I? I tried punching in keywords like 'beauty' or 'subscription' into my phone to see if it pulls up anything, but no dice with that either.

Has anyone seen this dubious site? I want to say it was called something generic like "beauty sample box" but I couldn't find anything under that either.

What kind of phone do you use? I'm on an Android and have a browse history under options. This is interesting indeed...

I have an iPhone. I tried  to google whether or not I can pull up a browse history but it seems unlikely/

Ugh, this drives me nuts! I wish I could find it... I swear, I'm not going crazy..I saw it..LOL!

I'm hoping someone might have come across it too.. and yeah, it seems like there's no browse history. Very annoying! I'll definitely share if I find it again!

You should be able to move backwards in your browser on an iPhone. I can usually find things that way

Press the "Bookmark" button on the bottom of Safari for iOS, and then tap the "History" link.

I tried it, but it's not showing up. Do you think it could be it's because I haven't punched in the URL directly, but went to the site through clicking the ad? This is really bizarre! Boooo... still refreshing that forum!

It should be there regardless. The only site I recall similar to that was Birchbox scam site.

No, a click is still a visit to a site, unless there is some cross-domain trickery going on.

This is really strange! It doesn't show up anywhere in my history, but it also doesn't show up that I went to that forum. I can see everything I looked at on Friday before coming home, then this blog I check out frequently, and after that's nothing there. It was past midnight, so I also checked the history of saturday but it starts with MuT and I haven't been on MuT at night on my phone. This is a conspiracy, I swear! LOL

By any chance do you sync your phone's browser with your PC browser? Firefox allows people to sync their phone browser to the PC browser so what I view on my PC I can pull up on my phone.

Ironically, I turned off AdBlock and went to that site....and first thing that I saw was an ad for Birchbox.

Hi, I refreshed the forum a few times and found an add for this site (click) in the UK, when you click on the beauty box tab theres some lists at the bottom of beauty boxes in other countries. One in America is called MakeupMonthly, has anyone heard of this?

I seem to remember that they bought discontinued makeup items from an outlet mall to put in their monthly boxes.  You can see reviews on YouTube of box openings.  I agree with calexxia.  I'd stay away from them.

It wasn't make up monthly. I'm not sure how to sync my phone with my PC, but I will research that as soon as I come home from work!

It's drives me INSANE that I can't find it! UGH! Maybe they already shut down? LOL
