It's better to use foundation colors first, but neutral color powders would work too...like right where your cheekbone ends(that sort of hollow part of the cheek)apply a darker color, and on the top of your cheekbone-apply a slightly lighter color. You need to blend well so it doesn't look like you have different colored splotches on your face. Right on the cheek bone is where you want to apply your blush color. If you're going for the slimming effect on your face...you really want to try to avoid too much color on the apples,keep the color on the angles of your face from you hairline right up to about the outer ends of your eyes.
