I love and collect vintage evening bags. However, there is never enough room to keep everything in. Basically my license, stash cash, and a compact. Am I putting everything in the bag wrong or should I countinue using dates pockets? That doesn't seem right???

Well I am thinking everything should fit?? Unless your bags are super tiny!

I put my cash (bills only) and ID in a slim credit card case. Adding the compact and small lipgloss/lipstick usually fits into my smallest evening bag. There is nothing wrong with using a date's pockets. If you have lots of keys on your keychain maybe you can make copies of the house and car key if required so that you can slip just those in.

for my evening clutches if i can fit my license, credit card, some cash, a lipstick or gross, and a pen that would be doing good!

I usually carry my phone, ID, compact, and a lipgloss in my purse. I put anything else I need (usually my camera) in my husband's pockets. Vintage bags tend to be really small and they don't hold a lot of stuff but they're just so beautiful...

maybe get some sample sizes of your fave products.. I have mini lip glosses and mascara from clarins that I can take in my bag if I need to save space.. also I agree that taking the house key off the ring saves heaps of space..

I love little bags when I'm out, I usually layer or pack them very carefully to fit my phone, camera, liscence, lipgloss, money and key, but as the night goes on you end up being all, hmm, how did this stuff all fit??

I love those little bags--I am going broke between shoes, bags and make-up!! I just bought the cutest bright red one at an estate sale--this little old lady had so many pretty ones--I wish I could show ya'll a pic--but I am computer stupid.

YOu know I know this will be a double post or something crazy--but I really want to thank ya'll for commenting on some of this crap I write on in here--it makes me feel good and at least I know somebody cares enough to comment!!! Anyway-ya'll are a fine bunch!!

lol - I never understand women who don't like shoes, makeup and clothing.. like ok, if you cant afford it that's cool, not everyone is rich, but to just not be interested at all??!! wha?!

so of course I responded! I love bags. Shoes even more, but a good bag gives me a glow unlike any other

I love vintage clutches too!! I have one of those really small credit card envelopes that I keep my lic, cc and debit cards in. That helps a lot. It's a well oiled machine...the organization in my handbags. I am going to have to start going to estate sales. I haven't thought about that. I bet I could get some nice old costume jewelry at those too.

It's a great place to buy old jewelry. THey have soome beautiful pins and earrings but the purses--OMG--I just lose it. Women were just such women then. I saw this ladies joural for sale and I thought about it--but it seemed like an invasion of privacy or something. Beautiful things!!!
