I read in a magazine that models use a product called Tend Skin after waxing and it's meant to prevent ingrown hairs, tea tree oil is a natural soloution you may want to try that.

some times the red bumps are a result of poor technique. if the skin is not pulled tight, you will get red bumps and black and blues. also, if you try to take too much hair at one time (wax in small sections).

I'm not too sure if it's avaible in Boot's or Superdrug, it seems like a higher end product, no doubt Selfridges would have it!

do you have salsons that do waxing where you live? if so i would just trying at one of those.

there may also be other products avail in your country. check in the area where you purchase the wax as they'd prob be located there.

I have the nape of my neck waxed, obviously not as sensitive a spot as the bikini line, but I'll still share what I do. The first 24 hours after waxing, I concentrate on healing and soothing the area, not exfoliating it. I apply tea tree oil as it is soothing and healing but also has an antiseptic quality. After the first 24 hours I exfoliate the area daily in the shower with a Buf-Puf or one of those net poufs. After that I use a facial toner/astringent containing salicylic or glycolic acid. I actually alternate between my Proactiv toner and my Mary Kay toner that I use on my face!!! Lastly I make sure to moisturize the area with an oil-free lotion; again, the same one I use on my face. This has worked well for me, I can wear my hair up without being embarrased about a fuzzy neck -or- ingrown hairs. Good luck!

Tend Skin is a solution with aspirin. I have seen some recipes for making the stuff at home, but I haven't tried. Starting a few days after waxing, I use a toner containing salicylic acid. I think it helps with the bumps.

Hey, i've seen the 'tend skin' recipe and i tried to make it but couldn't get a hold of any rubbing alcohol, so instead i bought some Witch blemish treatment gel from Boots, mixed it with a little tea tree oil from the body shop and some crushed aspirin. I apply it after exfoliation before and after waxing and every couple of days after that, i find it quite effective and much cheaper!!
