I need some advice, Ive only tried MMU in Jane Iredale, I've got the primer stuff which is good, I bought the liquid minerals and the loose powder and dissapair concealer.

My problem is the Liquid Minerals is still giving me that cakey look, not as bad as normal non mineral foundation but still I cant get on with it and at its price its not satisfying me.

I've never tried the mmu that looks like powder and only just realised after watching a vid that its actually creamy??! I just thought it was loose powder? is that correct?

I like a med-heavyish coverage due to I like my face to be full rather than look like nothings on, I dont mind sheer as long as it covers nice and flawless

I've been thinking of Bare essentuals mmu - I've looked at the other topics but would it be worth a try? the liquid foundations dont agree with me for some reason, would this be a good thing to get or will it be too sheer and no good?

Would just like some advice before I buy as I dont wanna buy the stuff and find I dont like it.

If you tried only one brand you may not say MMU is not working for you.

I've never tried MMU liquid foundation, all my foundations are loose powders.

I've also never tried Bare essentuals, but it contains bismuth and has similar formula like Isadora, which I tried and unfortunatley it made me itch and it felt terrible on my face.

After Isadora I sampled 10 - 15 brands and found my HG. I still have samples of two brans which I've never tried.

If I was on your place I would sample Aubrey Nicole, Lumiere, Meow, Lilly Lo, Oceanmist and couple other brands. I would also buy a decent brush and try real MMU.

If you like a full coverage, choose havier formulas, which can give you nice coverage with one layer. Lumiere has good coverage, also AN and Meow (Meow is my HG so I'm not objective

Hi Southcitybabe,

You should maybe get some samples of different MMU suppliers...

I've tried Lilylolo, Barefaced Beauty, Elemental Beauty and Meow, and so far I love the Lilylolo eyeshadows, I like Barefaced Beauty foundation powder, but they don't give full coverage, and Elemental Beauty foundation powders (they are great for coverage), and Meow is ok, but made me look a bit chalky...

I've just ordered Aubrey Nicole MMU, so I'll let you know how that is once I've tried it! So far, I'm really liking the Elemental Beauty stuff for the coverage and natural look it gives me at the same time...

i'm having an issue with my mineral makeup and i know it's because i ordered the wrong shade so i've been tweeking it with my custom blend. i only got it to work well the first time i tried it. after that it separated so i'm waiting to get the correct color and try again.

A good primer is very important. If I don't use a primer it looks horrible and cakey on me.

You should try Everyday Minerals.

Different brands work better for different people.

some brands that have been excellent for me are:

Bare Faced Minerals and Monave

I agree that a primer does help the foundation to retain it's freshly applied look longer.

Also applying lightly and allowing it to settle, then apply another light layer if needed will prevent it caking or looking too heavy later in the day.
