BUT governments are always doing stuff like this. What is important to ONE person isn't all that important to ANOTHER. What I am trying to say is that a person can make the arguement(not me) that the government should spend more on schools/kids and less on cancer research cuz kids are more important.

But I do see what you are saying tho.

Ok, I'll start! OMG Medicare is so fucked! Needs an overhaul! Way too much corruption and overbilling with no assistance to our people who need it.
But on the other hand, watch out for socialistic type of medical coverage. NOT GOOD. Whoever wants this in the US, they will be in for a rude awakening. The medical care is terrible and most seek "private" help in socialistic countries. Ask Reija, who is from Finland.

yes gov does waste a lot , but in all acuality ,much of what we have today came from the space program.(teflon,velcro,waste water treatment and recycling.just to name a few and yes some medical advancments as well..)..and it will be the space program that will free us (somday) from fossel fuels..it seems the hydrogen fuel cell will be our next major energy source and it was created by the space program...and metiorology and comunications as we know it today would not be possible without it...
