I know you mentioned Angel as a good after tanner and I know my salon has that, so I may try that

i personally wouldn't use halo since it' has an spf in it. if you are careful in the tanning beds youdon't NEED an spf in your lotion

secret rapture is a good non tingle non bronzer lotion it's also made by designer skin

I don't know much about lotions. Do you have to be careful with the lotions that have bronzer in it? Any information would help me out.

Also do the after tanning lotions work...they say they help keep your tan longer. If so what would you recommend?

By the way this is my first post. I have been reading everyones posts for awhile.

Honestly ... I think the only difference between Angel (yellow) and Undercover Angel (white) is the scent. Angel is a Kiwi Pear, Undercover has a 'fresh clean' scent. I had the yellow... and it smells delish' !! As far as the lotions...most of those are the brand names, and they carry a bunch of different lotions - some regular, some tingle, some with bronzers... so you'd just have to ask for one without the bronzer/tingle. https://forum.makeuptalk.com/images/smilies2/icon_cheesygrin.gif

how pale are you and how long have you been tanning in the bed you are tanning in? do you have dry skin or oily skin? if you have really dry skin you should be using something that is very moisturizing. (and remember to use a good aftertan lotion and your after tan lotion doesn't NEED to be from the salon the body shop's lotions do not have anything in them that will hinder a tan or dry out your skin more i use their body butters all the time)California tan has tanning gels you might like. Ganja and dark ganja those are gels they absorb quickly and aren't greasy but aren't as moisturizing as some lotions.

they also have my FAVE lotion ambrosia and ambrosia dark deluxe those are lotions combined with gel and those are THE best lotions the two lotions mixed together get you REALLY dark i get THE BEST color using those. and they are both non bronzer and non tingle. there IS a bronzer type ambrosia so dont get confused there is ambrosia dark BRONZER but since you don't want bronzer that's not for you

I've used some tan accelerators for tanning by the pool and really liked them. One was by Swedish Beauty (this one was OK) and the other was called something like Twisted (I don't remember) and it had hemp in it. I liked this one better. I don't do tanning beds, but I do lay out in the sun, and after about an hour with this, I was way darker than if I hadn't used anything!

Burning is the worst thing you can let happen to yourself. even I who tan in tanning beds regularly use SPF while outside.
was the twisted one with 2 colored lotion?

What about Australian Gold Hemp? I haven't used lotion in a while and I need a few sessions badly? Has anyone ever had itchy skin after tanning? What's a good remedy, just keep moisturizing?

What's a good remedy, just keep moisturizing? I am not a fan of AG lotions but they are ok. there are some decent ones. i wouldn't pay the 60 bucks for the glazes though they aren't worth that much IMO.the itchy skin is caused by the melanin in your skin working again. i get itchies when i first start to tan again it happens to everyone pretty much my friend gets them really bad sometimes and has to take benedryl for the itching to stop. but YES you SHOULD moisturize all the time keep your skin moist and you WILL tan better.

if your skin is dry when you go into the tanning bed the first 7 mins are pretty much pointless. the UV light is reflected OFF of your dry skin it will take up to 7 mins for your skin to start absorbing the light if it is dry.

Moist skin (with tanning lotion on it) absorbs it pretty much right away.

A few other good lotions I've tried that have 2 colors are Ambrosia (California Tan) & Twist (by Squeeze) They both smell so good (Twist smells like lemon-lime, & Ambrosia smells like Candy! lol)
