A look back at the week in entertainment:
Frozen Assets: Shyne, who signed a $3 million record deal in prison, won't see any money until a civil lawsuit against him is resolved. Shyne has been behind bars since 2001 for a club shooting during a night out with then-couple P. Diddy and J. Lo.
Family Troubles: Master P and his brother, Silkk the Shocker, pleaded not guilty in Los Angeles to a felony charge of carrying unregistered loaded guns. A third brother, C-Murder, said he would appeal his second-degree murder conviction to the Louisiana State Supreme Court.
Casting News: Robert Redford will play Brooklyn Dodgers general manager Branch Rickey in a new film biography of baseball pioneer Jackie Robinson. Rickey signed Robinson as the first black player in Major League Baseball.
Searching for Gracie: Sibling actors Elisabeth and Andrew Shue announced a nationwide search for the title character of their new film, "Gracie." Much like Elisabeth, Gracie is motivated by the death of her star soccer-playing brother.
She's Glam: Pamela Anderson is the newest face of the VIVA GLAM V lipstick and lipglass, the primary fund-raising tools for the M.A.C. AIDS Fund. Anderson joins Christina Aguilera, Missy Elliott, Linda Evangelista and Chloe Sevigny in the ad campaign.
She's Angry: Tired of pregnancy reports and rumors of trouble in her marriage, Britney Spears fired back at tabloid magazines in a posting on her Web site.
The Doctor Is Out: Noah Wyle is leaving NBC's "ER" as a regular cast member at the end of this season. Wyle is the only original star to remain with the medical drama through its 11 years.
In Kiwi Trouble: Hilary Swank was fined $163 for bringing an apple and an orange into New Zealand, in violation of the country's strict quarantine laws.
Disbanded: Russell Crowe's rock band, 30 Odd Foot of Grunts. The Oscar-winning actor is planning a new lineup.
Scent of a Singer — and the Ocean: Celine Dion introduced her new perfume, Belong. Teen surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost her left arm in a shark attack, announced plans for two new fragrances, Stoked and Wired, that aim to capture the smell of the ocean.
He Wants to Direct — Again: "Scrubs" star Zach Braff, who wrote and directed "Garden State," will direct the latest video from singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw.
Reality TV: Serena and Venus Williams will star in their version of a tennis reality show. The sisters' off-court lives will be featured in a six-episode show set to premiere on ABC Family in July.
Heeeere's Ed: As in McMahon, the longtime sidekick of "Tonight Show" host Johnny Carson, who's writing a memoir titled, of course, "Here's Johnny!"
From Pop to Reggae: Sinead O'Connor was in Kingston, Jamaica, recording tracks for an upcoming album that will include covers of some of reggae's most famous protest songs, including Bob Marley's "War."
