Hello all! I'm so glad to be here! I've been lurking for quite a while and have been learning a lot from you all! <3
I'm a 43 year old woman who's always looked young for my age but about two weeks ago, I woke up and noticed wrinkles and sun damage (I live in Florida and practically lived outside, smoking, for over 6 years! I no longer smoke, and I drink TONS of water now ~ really trying to improve myself!). I know they've been there for a while and I only just noticed them, but now that I SEE them, I can't STOP seeing them!
About a week ago, I waxed my upper lip and began a regimen of Exuviance Optilight Tone Corrector and Peter Thomas Roth Unwrinkle Peel Pads (glycolic acid peel), with a generous slathering of Loreal's Triple Power Deep Penetrating Day/Night Moisturizer. Today, I did Olay's Regenerist Microdermabrasion Peel, too.
So, far, the results are decent. But my skin still looks kind of leathery and the pores large and "saggy." The area around my upper lip that I waxed peeled (I don't think I should have used a peel so quickly after waxing ... live and learn). And my under-eye area is really crepy, and some areas of my face are tight-ish and shiny (forehead, nose, apples of cheeks). Are those likely results/effects of the peels?
Also, am I good candidate for a TCA peel? If so, how strong? While I *did* get some red spots from the peels that lasted a day or two (I used the PTR pads about 2x a day for the week straight), and I do still have a slightly raw feeling on some areas of my face, I think I heal pretty fast ... I've always healed extremely fast.
Any suggestions are more than welcomed and appreciated!! Thank you so much for reading!!!
(Edited because I wrote T*S*A peel, rather than T*C*A peel! Duh!!!
