Has anyone ever had this happen to them? I swear it's driving me mad! The normal sorts of things I would smell before are now accompanied by other under-current odors that I've never noticed before.

Right now, I'm smelling body odor everywhere. Sweat, smells especially acrid these days, and .... drool

... for the first time, I am smelling saliva??? I cannot tolerate the smell of plants, they all smell like rotten garlic or something, so I had them all removed from certain areas in our home.

My own skin has a strange, unrecognizable odor to it, and my hair too. I can't use my normal body wash (the smell), so I used rose water, and now I smell garlic-y.

This is the first time I have ever prayed for a cold or something to block my sinuses so I can't smell anything. It's making me insane, I am not sure what to do, it turns my stomach.

I too cannot tolerate certain smells and i was advised to take some stuff to build my immunity. I seriously plan on giving it a shot.

Is there a chance that you're pregnant? It usually happens in pregnant women

I was just going to ask if you are pregnant as well. This happened to my mom when she was prego with my sister.

As for me, sometimes when I'm ovulating my smell and taste goes crazy. Stuff that tastes fine or smells fine to others would just make me want to throw up! I think it's a hormonal thing or something

you could be pregnant, or about to have your period? my horomones mess with my sense of scent. Almost every month. here are some suggestions?

use lemon water or something citrus-y to clean house and your body. a tiny bit of ground up lemon in the sink, if you have a garbage disposal, is good. jean nate body splash is great stuff and it's been around forever, my mom used to keep it.

Target had this wonderful cleaning spray scented of grapefruit, safe for glass or wood. It worked well, it was so nice that I was sick one weekend and slept in, was too lazy and feverish to clean up. My husband used almost a third of the bottle.

"this just in, citrusy scent incites 'a man' to clean house." *rimshot*

baking soda left in the fridge and freezer, baking soda and a touch of vinager to clean the kitchen or bathroom. keep a couple candles in the home, its wicked hot lately but a lit candle will suck up odors...something mild like "fresh cotton/linen" smells like drier sheets, "apple cinnamon" or "vanilla cookie" seldom offend my nose at its most senstive.

Be sure the trash bin is clean, often if i'm too "sensitive" i grab some lysol and spray it out and well on garbage day.

last but not least run some of the shoes through the dryer with 2 sheets but very breifly.

hope one or any of these helps!

I don't really know what it is but I have a very good sense of smell and this happens to me sometimes and I'd rather not smell this stuff sometimes either.

Oh... good lord...

I hope I am not... pregnant. Strange things have definitely been happening to me lately. I do not fit in any of my bras (I was actually happy about that... until now) and the smell thing has me just going bonkers. It's not happened to me before.

It is not time for my period yet, not for another couple weeks.

I'm gonna try that grapefruit cleaner. See if that helps me out with the smell.

If not get your hormones checked - they could be the culprit (after all, the symptoms of a pregnancy are caused by the change of the hormone imbalance)

It's too early for me to take a home pregnancy test. I actually made a doctor's appointment this morning to go and check this out. Let's see what she says...

There is always a reason behind the madness, isn't there? In my case it's a good one!
