ok .. i have never herd this before. after the ceremony there is the reception does the bride change into a dress a little more comfortable bit still formal?

got any idea's or pictures to see what i should look for if so.

Every wedding that I have ever been to, the entire wedding party still leaves their same outfit on that they went to the wedding in!

I have heard of this! Some brides get a "smaller" version of their dress made. Something simialr in style but shorter or not as poofy. I think when I get married I would do that too. I wouldn't want to ruin my Wedding dress by eating in it or spilling something, plus I love to dance and would want to be free from discomfort.

I kept mine on, but we didn't have a big party or anything. After the dinner and the formal dances, we just went back to Wes's parents apartment with our closest friends and family. There I kept on my veil but work a white knit dress, because my dress was just too pouffy to get around that apartment in!

my dress is a ball gown dress very big and poofy and we are having in outside wedding and going to be dancing and getting drunk doing th limbo and things i wll see if i can find the dress i bought....

what do you think i should do?

Both dresses are very pretty, and it's your day so you should do whatever you want!

Ofc, I'm a bit biased on the gown because it looks similar to my own

hey i have been to a couple of weddings who did this, and if we were going to have the proper wedding that we were planning then i was going to have the second dress (call me greedy..lol), it still should be dressy etc however a little less restricted? if this makes sense, these were my choices for second dress, now they are my first choices as we are have an informal beach wedding probably. hope this helps. you could have these dresses in white or whatever. btw i love your dress.

i wore two dresses. actually, if it was up to my mother, i would have had 3.

i wore a very traditional white dress with an exceptionally poufy marshmallow skirt for my ceremony and my reception. my mom wanted me to wear a traditional filipino dress to the reception, just not me... but i did have another dress i wore to my "post-reception" party (married in Tahoe, so it was obvious that there was going to be some afterpartying in the casinos and clubs). it was an empire waisted fitted slipdress made of the same lace as my reception dress.

4 in the morning, totally bombed...

oh- pretty much my entire family had different outfits on for the reception. my aunts all wore traditional filipino dresses at the ceremony and cocktail / formal at the reception.

Hahaha... omg I know those Filipino dresses... Glad you didnt do it.

But yeah, Missy, I dig the two dresses thing and I like your choices so far.
