"North Central" is what professional linguists call the Minnesota accent. If you saw "Fargo" you probably didn't think the characters sounded very out of the ordinary. Outsiders probably mistake you for a Canadian a lot.

Judging by how you talk you are probably from north Jersey, New York City, Connecticut or Rhode Island. Chances are, if you are from New York City (and not those other places) people would probably be able to tell if they actually heard you speak.

I have Midland....Your accent is as Philadelphian as a cheesesteak! If you're not from Philadelphia, then you're from someplace near there like south Jersey, Baltimore, or Wilmington. if you've ever journeyed to some far off place where people don't know that Philly has an accent, someone may have thought you talked a little weird even though they didn't have a clue what accent it was they heard.

This was kind of cool, although, I'm orginally from Ohio, now living in Charlotte, I starting to sound more southern everyday.

 
I'm inland north, too. I live in Michigan, so it makes sense. For me, a carbonated beverage is definitely pop - soda is something that has ice cream and soda water in it, damn it! LOL I've heard Michiganders speak nasally and too fast, too, which is pretty accurate too.

Iowa actually but close. The only time I have an accent is if I am around someone enough to mimic them unconsciously.

Oh and a carbonated drink is pop unless I know calling it soda annoys the person and then it is soda.
