That actually a pretty good price for the size and what it is... my boyfriend's neighbor (who must have the best of the best of everything) just spent $4500 on a HDTV but its only like 42" - so I think you're getting a pretty good deal - just try to stay away from any kind of 'projection' tv... the picture is kinda fuzzy - even some I've seen with the HD - otherwise - I think you're getting a good deal - and if it's something that you will have for a long time, and keep you home instead of spending money on movie theaters or going out - then you'll get your money's worth
