Ooh - I was dinking around just yesterday and ended up with this combo:
Black eyeliner to create a new lip shape - lined outside my natural line a little, and turned the corners up a bit.
Filled in with StyliStyle lipstick in Unity, which they describe as "cranberry pink" but baby, this is fuschia with a blue cast! maybe similar to fun n sexy from fafi/mac? Not sure, haven't seen that in real life
Blended the Unity with a brush over the black edges - got a lovely purply gradient.
Applied a liberal layer of Aromaleigh Rocks! in livewire in the center of top and bottom lip. Patted it on, it' didn't fill in the texture of my lips, rather accentuated it, which I rather liked.
Patted Aromaleigh Rocks! boilingpoint over the rest of the lip to intensify the fuschia.
Topped the whole thing with a drizzle (seriously - just loading the brush and letting it drip onto the lips - felt horrible, looked cool) of Sally Hansen plumping stuff in a crystal clear. Only clear liquid gloss I had. I don't like it.
Looked neat - here's a pic:
I thought of you sephoras girl when I did it!
But for every day life, my lips are pretty "normal". I'm not blessed with a buxom pout, so I stick with fairly mundane colors. I always use a highlighting pencil on my cupids bow and philtrum to emphasize the shape, outline with Loreal Barely Pink lip pencil (same color as my lips) fill in to give a good base, the apply lipstick on top. Usually Mac 3D, Fresh Moroccan, Profusion, or an Aromaleigh lipstick in Nuance or Crush, sometimes Tender for a no lipstick look. I love Aromaleigh glosses - Enthrall is a favorite. Also love the ones from The Balm - Cherry my Cola, Melt My Chocolate and Hottie my Toddie are my usual choices.
