I got the job in the summer and when I started I already knew one of the girls there. She helped me out alot and we had some fun times, but I can remember those hot days when the a/c broke.

That week we got all the free ice cold drinks we wanted! Unfortunately, I had to give up my job when school started because my mom didn't want me to work and go to school. What was your first job? Did you like it?

I was like 16 and i worked at a daycare. I liked it and I liked the kids but i wasnt happy with the way they run things.

My parents owned a country store and I worked in it. Later when I was 16 I worked in a video/music store after school. I always considered it my first job since I was actually away from the family business.

I detassled corn when I was in eigth grade. It was miserable work for me since I had terrible allergies. We also didn't get paid until the end of the summer, one check. It was like $400 or so though, so that was a lot to me at the time! (yes, I'm from the Midwest, lol)

Gardening and housecleaning for my Aunt and Uncle when I was like...10 for $1.00/hr. LOL... My first taxpaying job was for a summer on a farm around the corner from my house picking cabbage! LMAO!! I had a GREAT tan that year!

I was 15, and it was at a clothing store. There were ups and downs of course. But I enjoyed working in retail!

My very first job was mowing lawns... Probably 13 years old.. Then had a Detroit Free Press paper route.. And then worked in a gas station pumping gas and as a mechanic.. High school through college.. Where I learened to maintain my own cars... Saves big $$$$

My first job I got at 18 and that is b/c I had to wait to get a work permit...i couldn't wait to get a job and make some moeny. It was at Publix as a cashier and yes there were up and downs. I hated working on Sat. Sun...so many people it was madness. And of course I dislike snobby people!

i was 19 and i got a job at a convalesent home, the things i saw there NO ONE should ever see much less at 19!!! i had a schizophrenic man spit at me through a window (thank god) while i was eating!! i saw an old woman's face being eaten up by cancer, i saw an old disgusting long bearded man with no legs go into an 18 year old girls room and fondle her!! and the 18 year old girl was there because her husband was driving and beating her at the same time and they crashed and she was never able to feed herself, talk or anything again, and she was pregnant at the time, (she lost it obviously) i had to take a grown man about 6 feet tall to the bathroom because he couldnt do anything for himself either after crashing into a semi truck head on while riding his motorcycle, and as i sat him on the toilet he managed to mutter to me "this is so embarrassing". i saw an old woman's anus completly come out of her rectum, because supposedly when she was younger she always had anal sex and that was the only way she ever did it, (was what i was told by other nurses) i saw a 600 pound wmoan who had to be moved about 30 times a day so she could breath AND i had to shave a man who was in his last stages of full blown aids and could only blink, and only stared at me as i shaved him, i had to be completly covered up from head to toe because if i so much as coughed on him he could die rigth there and then. so yeah my first job was "fun" and i'll never forget it!! by the way i only lasted 2 weeks!!! yeah and i saw all of that in 2 weeks!!

Wow! Those are some sad stories! Makes me grateful for my little problems!

i've made those mascara containers ( put a plastic container into a metal container ) and mount the tips on a lipgloss applicator

I was 18 (wasn't allowed to get a job until then to focus on school) and I was a sales associate aka retail slave.

I was 16 and worked at a Winn Dixie grocery store as a cashier after school. I made minimum wage which was $3.35/hr then. I hated it. I was a candy striper when I was 13 although it wasn't a paid job.

I worked at Pizza Hut when I was 15.....I was a bus girl and I made 12$ a shift (plus hourly) tips/kickback from the waiters and I used that money to take a taxi to and from work. I loved my coworkers but I stunk of dough when I got home and I hated all the standards that had to be follow b/c it's a franchise.

Well if you count unofficial jobs I have had to babysit my sister for the past 8 years. She is 13 and yes I still have to babysit because she does some stupid stuff sometimes. Now I get to babysit my brothers baby whenever. My mom always said that school was my job and I always had to watch my sister. So I have yet to get a job job
