What's the best mineral make up brand I should get?

Hi ladies

So I don't know too much about mineral makeup, I have BareEscentuals. It's ok, not great though. Do any of you recommend a good brand to go with? How do I know what color I will be? FYI I'm a Fairly Light in Bare Escentuals. I am tired of using liquid now, my makeup doesn't look how I want it to. I've heard good things about Monave, and then Lumiere on this forum. Let me know what you like and why. Thanks!

I'm also using BE in light and fairly light - i got the kit. I just ordered samples from monave (because i heard good things about them too- good coverage and staying power), aubrey nicole and lumiere's. I'll let you know how i like it.

i love Larenim pressed foundation coz it doesn't change color on my acidic face and it's good for those with sensitive skin...also Meow is good if you're looking for good coverage..i cant help you with shades though..coz i have difficulty with choosing too hehe

There are many great brands out there, just get samples from them so you could try then decide which you like best

I work with Southern Magnolia Minerals. Barb, the owner is so nice, and her product is awesome. You can see on her website, she shows the ingredients and all kinds of information. I love her mineral make up!!

My favorite is Valerie. It has nice, natural coverage; it doesn't break me out; it doesn't show every pore; the customer service is fabulous!; it stays on my skin until I wash it off; it has buildable coverage.

i love Lumiere's cashmere formula. oceanmist is really good as well, i love how finely milled they are.

Next I suggest that you check out this thread https://forum.makeuptalk.com/f12...tes-40892.html this thread has a list of many, many mineral companies and a lot of them have sample kits you can get for a cheap price. Some favorite brands on the board are, Everyday Minerals, Silk Naturals, Meow, Lumiere, Monave, and many more.

There are many better choices than BE.

My favorite mineral foundation is Alima. I have tried EDM, Ocean Mist, Lumiere, Aromaleigh, BE, and several others and Alima is just fantastic. It just blends right into my skin and hides the red discoloration I have on my face. Their foundation has buildable coverage so you can wear it very sheer or with a heavier coverage. It totally does not look chalky at all once it's applied which is great, unlike some other mineral foundations I have tried. It also comes in a huge assortment of shades so you have a good chance of finding something that will match your skin tone.

Try sampling mineral makeup from different sites. Everyday minerals has an offer out where you just pay shipping, which is less that $4, for samples for 3 shades of foundation, 1 finishing powder, and 1 concealer.

Personally, I like Lumiere Cosmetics and J. Lynne Cosmetics. They have a very nice finish and they're cheaper than Bare Escentuals by several dollars. To find the perfect shade, I suggest purchasing samples. It's also a great way to try out the foundation before you buy! =P But to be honest, the perfect foundation for me can be the worst for someone else. It's a game of trial and error.

To save a bit of money though, you should try Everyday Minerals since it's inexpensive and they have 4 different formulas for different finishes. Hope this helps! =]

i agree to what they said..just try samples from different brands...it would be a personal preference...some look into prices, some into coverage, other into staying power, etc
