Secret Santa 2012 Presents Revealed!

Recommended Posts

I GOT MY GIFTS!!!

I had a feeling that it would come today because I'll leave home next week.

It seems from Diana16 according to the sender's name but I'm not sure. Haven't opened it yet.

I found it outside my door before leaving in the morning and now I'm back.

Will update pictures soon! I definitely can't wait until Christmas day!

Sorry for the delay. I got my gifts yesterday nut just had time to update what’s inside!

My Secret Santa is Diana16. She is really a mind reader! Everything fits so perfect into my wish and needs. When I look back to my ‘wish list’ in the sign-up thread I think only GOD can know what I really want but Diana just worked better than god!

Let me show you guys the miracle work she has done!

First impression: shiny blue box :)

700

Tried hard not to tear up the wrapping paper. The first thing I saw was the card on top~ Sweet~

700

WOW lots of stuff! I didn’t know which one to pick out first.

700

Ok let’s start with the one that hides behind.

700

First surprise! My phone camera can’t get the real color. they are much more vivid than in picture. Love the gorgeous colors. Love the elegant package. Even the brush included feels so good.

The brand is called Sedona lace. It’s new to me. Guess it’s an new indie brand. I’ve never stepped out of those well-known brands but grew an interest in indie brands recently (mostly because of the posts/ articles by Zadidoll). I regreted that I didn’t put some indie brands in my wish list but Diana seems know everything I thought!

Eye shadow with a nail polish- aren’t they a pair?

700

The most exciting part: BRUSHES!!! (also from Sedona Lace.) I only asked for one but Diana sent me four! All of them are useful and of good quality. I already had several synthetic hair eye brush and want to trt natural hair ones. Again Diana hit my needs.

700

Followed are some lovely little tools, which were also on my wish list. Everything is so useful!   I noticed that the swabs are not usual ones, but with makeup remover. Interesting! The eyebrow razor is much smaller than my current one, it must be easier to use. The nivea cream brings some memory to me- I have one limited edition tin but can no longer find it. And the last one- beauty blender! So lucky I didn’t buy it last time. Can’t wait to try!

700

This guy surprised me even more! Lip scrub! I never told anyone that I have extreme dry lips. That’s really a problem but I never took care of them... I Tried the scrub immediately. It’s so sweet that I couldn’t help eating it. Since it’s made of sugar, oil and natural emulsifier, it’s safe for eating :P  Below are before and after pictures (the before one is definitely not the worst case though)

Anything left? Yes! There are still other little stuffs. As I wished, travel size products! How cute they are! I’m a natural product fan,  these two brands are familiar to me but I never had chance to try.

Great job Diana! Your selections are all hits, no miss!

700

Finally the overview picture.

Thank you so much Diana and merry Christmas to Everyone!

Oh I hope you liked it! I didn't realize everyone would be doing a bunch of little things, so I was hoping one big gift was ok. And you said no cosmetics so that really narrowed my choices down lol.

I received my gift in the mail over the weekend! My SS is Jackie aka Jac A. Everything was wrapped so nicely. I received Hello Kitty knee high socks (very cute!) A huge Philosophy shower gel in papaya passion punch (smells so good, can't wait to use it!) Essie nail polish in mademoiselle, a bracelet (which I will wear to work tomorrow) Ghirardelli peppermint bark & holiday kisses, A little black book from Apple (which I love) and a cute cupcake bath bomb. I'm going to smell and look good! Thanks so much for the awesome gifts! :)

My recipient is being "good" and waiting until Christmas. I don't know how she does it because I ripped my package open immediately and have been using something from it just about every single day! <--- no willpower with Secret Santa stuff!

Will those recipients who don't plan on opening your gifts till Christmas please post that. My girl's gift hit her mailbox on the 13th, but she hasn't posted anything. I really want to know what she thinks. If you have gotten it and are waiting, let me know. I am so anxious to see the reaction.

Yay!

I'm so glad you like it! I always freak out when I make packages that it's going to be disappointing or horrible and give myself an anxiety attack lol.

I wanted to get you nail polish and Lush stuff, but we don't have a Lush store near here either! Sorry about that. The Loofah is grown locally which is pretty cool, that's why I included it, as a sort of make up for the lack of LUSh stuff since I know you really really wanted some.

I wanted to get you nail polish, but I wasn't sure what colors you already own and what brands would be exciting, and then with the moving craziness I lost track of time. Hopefully the package is still ok, I feel bad about not being to include everything!

OMG Linda. You're amazing. I had a suspicion that you were my Santa when you said you sent some of your favorites to your Santee because I put that in my wishlist. You're beyond amazing. Everything I kept opening was exactly on my wishlist and I could tell you went way above and beyond. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. Here is what I got and how it was wrapped. 400400400 Only thing I might not use is the hello kitty perfume. I'm not a fan of hello kitty, I guess I just don't "get it" but I will sniff it and see. Thank you again. You're freaking amazing. And green eye shadows!? Loooove! And rebel lipstick. Ahh I can't get over it all lol thank you again!!

Yay! I can send you something different, to make up for it. I got a few rollerballs and minis from holiday sales, so I'm happy to send something more fitting. :) I've been waiting all day to see if you got it and checking the tracking! I recently tried the Tokyo Milk balms and fell in love, so I rush ordered another with a Sephora order to share!

The packaging sold me :/ Lol, I'm okay with one fail if the other items are a success! Now, you can regift and save some moola. Share the love lol.
No no no you don't have to send something else. Everything is amazing and way more than I would have expected. I would have been stoked with just rebel so the rest is a bonus IMO!! I actually wanted the Tokyo milk perfume set they had for Black Friday and my husband said no so I was so excited to get that. I've only smelt it but it smells Devine!! Thank you again.

I'm still eagerly awaiting my gift.  I am hoping that it is still enroute and was not attempted on 12/13/12 (same day my Ipsy bag was stolen out of my mailbox).  I have an agreement with the mailman to not leave packages now!  I was so excited when he rang the bell at 5 pm yesterday but it was homemade chocolate not secret santa!

    • I have been backsliding, but backsliding in a better way than before. The money has felt tighter than normal lately. I decided not to be too hard on myself, because part of that was from losing my second job due to COVID. Also I joined a new church, and really want to keep up with the tithing. That has become important to me. I found I need to tighten the budget and cut back on too much takeout/delivery [Door Dash is my vice]. That's hard for me. I was not budgeting well, and I found myself the week before Father's Day with not enough money for gifts and food that week, so I opened a new credit card. I used that to buy gifts and food, then some more food and takeout. I feel really badly about that.  BUT my old self would have just kept the card, and gone shopping for beauty items with it too, and I would have given up on my No Buy/Project Use It Up. NOW I caught myself after about two weeks of this backsliding, cut up the card, took the card number out of the computer. Because if it's there, it's too much temptation. And I kept right on using my old beauty stuff, I was not even tempted to buy new beauty stuff, just food!  Now I will wait for the bill for the new credit card to come in the mail and work on paying it off. The fact that I am rebounding like this instead of going back to my old behavior is a really good sign! I do need to work on the eating out. Getting Nutrisystem was not such a good idea. The dry food is hard to eat and it is pretty expensive too. But I will keep trying to change my food habits. Until now, I have not really had to do that to achieve my goals. We're moving into the higher goals now.
    • Men with gray hair are often flattered for their distinguished looks. Timothy Olyphant, John Slattery and other stars demonstrate the attractive face of gray hair. We hope they help you discover the cut that will best suit your gray hair. Take a look at these three guys in the photo above. The photo on the right shows Adam Lambert (born 1982), who is the youngest of the three. He probably doesn't want to praise senior citizens, but instead prefers to wear his voluminous gray hair to stand out from the crowd. Some young stars like Adam Lambert and Kelly Osbourne love to wear gray hair and enjoy playing with cliches. Of course, such characteristic appearances draw the attention of young Hollywood-obsessed youth. The white hair mixed with natural colors in the heads of young stars attracts more sure looks that lilacs, pinks or greens and go unnoticed. In the photo Timothy Olyphant (born 1968) appears in the center, as does his hairstyle. His “salt and pepper” hair near his temples and on his beard makes him look naturally distinguished and adds the appeal of the hair growth products for african american hair mature man who knows who he is and what he wants. Why change something that works so well? This can also be applied to John Slattery (born 1962), on the left of the photo. Almost all of John Slattery's hair lacks pigment and is therefore close to the transition from silver to white. His modern hairstyle and carefree demeanor show a person who knows how to step forward without getting nervous. No wonder it arouses as much admiration as desire.  Best hairstyles for men with gray hair Whatever the way that stars and celebrities wear or (pretend to) assume their gray hair, since they discover their first gray hair, most men (or women) have only one emotional response: “Oh no! Get rid of them! ” After the first shock of noticing that time passes while we don't realize it, most men at least cut their hair or shave off their beard that is starting to turn gray. This reaction is very constructive. In the photo, Matt Damon demonstrates how interesting haircuts are for men with gray hair. This is also the most popular hairstyle of all time for men with gray hair. George Clooney teaches us how to wear gray hair with style and class.     It can take a while for people to get used to the idea of having gray hair. It is best to have a strategy when the first isolated gray hairs cannot be hidden or plucked for much longer. Why not let gray hair mix freely with the rest of your mane? Adam Lambert, Timothy Olyphant and John Slattery (see photo above) demonstrate how to do it with class. Jeff Bridges, with his shoulder length gray hair and thick beard, is the image of a nature lover, like his younger colleagues, Charlie Hunnam and Jake Gyllenhaal. https://folexin.info/ https://skincellpro11.weebly.com/
    • Love the placement and subtlety of the cat eye and subtle cut crease.  It looks gorgeous. I'm trying to perfect the cut crease with white eyeliner lately.  I've only practiced it twice so I have a long way to go.
    • Essential hydration The dermis is made up of 70% water and the epidermis 15%. To maintain a good level of hydration, it is therefore important to opt for daily moisturizers that balance the water level at the heart of the skin. You can also regularly use a moisturizing mask, it ensure both your face health and beauty by removing the excess using a mist of thermal water.
