I do art shows and when I ask women how often do you wash your brushes some are astonished that you are supposed to do that?!!! REALLY? I recommend to wash them at least 1x a week.

What do you think?

Once a week, sometimes more often depending on what I used the brush for. If I used dark shadows or reds/violets/blues then I was after use to avoid staining.

 
It depends on the colors, but I don't let more than a few days go by before washing them. And obviously if I'm using them on multiple people I wash them immediately so there is no color payoff of the wrong color on the wrong person...
