what is a permanent and semi permanent makeup treatment? Can anybody explain briefly?

From what I've seen, permanent makeup means getting it tattoo'd. Permanent eyeliner is done that way. I've been considering it myself.

it's like a makeup tattoo...using the old techniques you could get it done for up to 5 years (it actually started fading after 1 year). With modern techniques you can make your eyebrows for example last up to 2 years..the difference is in the skin layer where the pigment is applied
