LolaJay's SUMMERSWAP 2014 Stuff & Thangs

Basic background information: My name is Lauren and I am from Michigan...Michigan gets a bad rap sometimes but I absolutely love it here. We get to experience all four seasons and we are surrounded by water...just a couple things I happen to love! I'm 5'1, and I can never decide if I want to be a blonde or a brunette. I am 30 (gross) and got married in December 2012. I live in a beautiful neighborhood that's only 12 minutes from the house I grew up in, which I love. I have a sassy man cat named Dexter who barks at birds and greets you at the door when you get home from work - he's awesome! If I could have every cat on earth I would! I am an elementary school reading specialist and a Varsity Competitive Cheer coach. My team took third place at State Finals this past year, which was my first year coaching competitive as head coach. SO PROUD! I spend most of my time at school, at practice, or tutoring. When I'm not there I like to be home with my boys (aka my cat and hubs). I love to shop and look for amazing bargains! My style is pretty much a cross between sassy rocker chick (aka all black e'rythannngg) and super girly (frills, flowers and all the pastels!). I also really love music and am obsessed with the presidents of the United States (it's a very strange thing, I know).

Style descriptions!

• Makeup - anything goes, really. I don't leave the house without foundation, blush, or mascara - EVER. I rock a cat eye pretty much every day. And I love ALL THE MASCARAS. I probably put on 3 different kinds (minimum) every day. I know, I have a mascara problem.
• Hair - it's blonde (for now!) and past my shoulders. I cut it a few months ago and regret it every day. I like to wear clip in extensions when I have time to put them in (usually once or twice a month if we are going out somewhere) and when my hair was long I only wore them to thicken it up. It's just very thin. I wear a messy bun every other day, and usually sport a bow or flower with it /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
• Nails - I have natural nails that I TRY to grow out. They were gorgeous last summer but I didn't ever have time to take care of them during competitive season, so they are in sad shape. I do always keep them painted though, and I love nail art!
• Skincare (face/neck) - not really sure what I am supposed to describe?? I'm usually light/medium in color - my skincare routine includes 1. removing makeup with a makeup wipe (I love the Meijer version of Neutrogena wipes!), 2. Mario Badescu toner to get rid of any leftover makeup, 3. Almay oil free eye makeup remover, 4. Paula's Choice 2% BHA, 5. Whatever moisturizer I'm in the mood for (I have a bajillion samples of THEM ALL haha)
• Bodycare - this is an area I am severely lacking in...I hate shaving my legs and I always forget to put on lotion, even when I know I need it! It's not that I don't have any body care items, I just am lazy in that department lol. My all-time FAVORITE lotion is Tree Hut Hawaiian Kukui body lotion and I love the sugar scrub as well!
• Home - well...since we moved in a year and half ago - we only have 3 rooms painted, and one was already painted before we moved in! Our living room is a very light blue with dark brown/beige/teal accents. I basically love neutral and cool colors - our bedroom is gray, but our downstairs bathroom is light yellow!! I made the hubs paint it that color because my bathroom at the house I grew up in was yellow and I loved it!
