PopSugar Limited Edition Summer Box *SPOILERS*

Recommended Posts

Who bought this without a spoiler?  I did, because I have impulse control problems.  I didn't love the coverup or necklace from spring and everything else is still in the box (even the chocolate, so I'll be remedying that tonight).  I don't know why I am such a sucker for these.  Sigh.

I didn't.  I really didn't like anything in the spring LE box.  I'm waiting for spoilers before I make a decision.

I usually like everything in the summer boxes but I still want to hold out for a spoiler.

Mar Y Sol Collins Tote – Value $129

Pretty but so similar to last year.  I had actually taken a break from LE boxes but did jump on this one.

I'm so on the fence with this box. I think the items are OK but nothing I feel like I need to have.

I'm regretting my purchase so far.  I hate when they just use the exact same formula as the last year's box but with new items.  Prefer last year's bag and don't need a new one.

Popsugar-Must-Have-Limited-Edition-Summe

Hamptons Lane Serious Shimmer Spray – Value $32

(Subscribers will receive either the Bronze or Pearl spray. POPSUGAR sent me one of each for reviews purposes)

Popsugar-Must-Have-Limited-Edition-Summe

These both have a light, beachy scent that I love. Looking at the shimmer in the bottle, I was expecting this to be a super shimmery spray, but it’s one of those shimmers I only noticed when I stepped into the sun.

Popsugar-Must-Have-Limited-Edition-Summe

It takes a few minutes to dry, but that is probably a good thing if you are looking for a product to help you cool off!

Popsugar-Must-Have-Limited-Edition-Summe

There wasn’t a big difference to me in the color from these sprays, but the bronze one is a bit more tinted.

Polaroid PLD 6003 Sunglasses – Retail Value $65

Popsugar-Must-Have-Limited-Edition-Summe

Sunnylife Reversible Coasters – Value $18

Popsugar-Must-Have-Limited-Edition-Summe

This set includes 16 reversible coasters. They are made from a gloss-coated cardboard, so they are reusable.

My husband Eric saw me open this box and as soon as he saw me pull this item out of the box, he said: “you must be SO excited!” (I love all things Lobster thanks to Pheobe/Friends.)

Popsugar-Must-Have-Limited-Edition-Summe

Even if you aren’t a lobster fan, I think these have a great nautical vibe!

Popsugar-Must-Have-Limited-Edition-Summe

Hint Sunscreen Spray in Grapefruit – Value $24

(Scents may vary)

I knew Hint made flavored water, but I didn’t know they did sunscreen! This one smells AMAZING!

Popsugar-Must-Have-Limited-Edition-Summe

I’m SO impressed with this sunscreen. The nozzle spray uses only compressed air, eliminating the need for propellant chemicals. The mist is super fine, too. It sprays on clear, so you don’t have to rub it in. The formula is also free of oxybenzone and parabens! (And it’s water resistant!)

And maybe the best part is the scent. This grapefruit scent smells exactly like a grapefruit. I love it, and I’m already planning on buying the Pineapple and Pear versions!

Popsugar-Must-Have-Limited-Edition-Summe

Big Picture Farm Farmstead Milk Caramels in Chai – Value $10

Popsugar-Must-Have-Limited-Edition-Summe

These caramels are made with al natural and organic ingredients. (And I love that POPSUGAR picked a treat that is easy to ship in the summer heat!)

I ended up getting this box. I like the bag way more than I thought I would.

I also really liked the sunglasses and the SPF spray. I got pineapple. The rest was kinda meh, I do like the lip item though.  Not really big on the caramels or coasters or shimmer spray.

I'm tempted to get this because of the caramels, the sunscreen and the tote. I'm such a sucker for sweets and caramel especially. The tote is cute too. I'm trying to hold off though but I'm seriously tempted.

This box was such a miss for me - the items I actually use add up to less than the cost and aren't anything special.  I don't know why I can't just wait until spoilers like a sane person.  It wasn't a *bad* box and I'm sure there are plenty who enjoyed it, it's just that it wasn't really my style or anything I don't already have.

- The bag is cute and nicely made and all that, it just really isn't my style even if I take off the poms, plus I already have and much prefer the bag from last year.  I'm probably going to sell it to help offset the cost of the box.

- The shimmer spray just isn't really a product I see myself using.

- I have been getting a lot of use out of the sunglasses and I really wanted a blue polarized pair this summer, but I don't really like the frame or the fact that they feel so chintzy, plus it's not like I don't have a million other pairs of sunglasses.

- The coasters just aren't my style, gonna try to sell them

- I'll use the sunscreen for sure but I'm meh on getting sunscreen in boxes

- I ate the caramels, they were good.  Sad when the best item in a box probably cost $5.

Thanks for posting the coupon @@LoveSkinCare! I ordered the box too. $100 was too much for me but $50 I can do a little better although still a stretch. I figure it's a good deal though.

I am surprised they reduced it so much. It must not have sold as quickly as they expected.

I got the box today. I already ate half the caramels. lol I think the caramels are the best thing in the box. The tote is nice. The sunglasses are a bit big on me but I can still use them. I have the same problem with almost all sunglasses because my face is too small.  :)

    • Hey guys, im new here and love all things make up.  I seem to collect makeup from all over.  I love glitter, matte, pearl, anything.  The eye shadow palettes have been my weakness.  Every time a new UD or Morphe palette launches I have to run out and buy. With these palettes I have to have brushes to go with them.  Crease and shading brushes.  Then comes the blending brushes.  Lord, you can't have great eye makeup without a fluffy blending brush. Foundation is an entirely another beast in its own right.  I use my Sigma Flat Top Kabuki brush for my foundation.  It is dense and gets the foundation in all the right places. I actually have multiples of the same brushes so I know I have plenty to create my eye look.  While I was shopping for new brushes, I came across a link for a free makeup brush.  https://41f1caqgpjspd4h6n3u8grlh2e.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=MAKEUP119 It has got a few reviews and looks decent.  Hey, Free is free in my book.  The other major brush I use is the Sigma 4d brush that gets right into the corners around the eye for concealers etc.  I probably use like 6-10 brushes when I am doing a full face of makeup...  Even after all that sometimes I am not happy with the end result but its too late and time for me to step out and do what I was prepping for   lol   Well I am glad to be here and look forward to meeting all of you and getting into this makeup world even more...
    • Congratulations! There some great makeup artists here. So nice to see you here.
    • Hi Beauties! I dare to say, I found the most valuable and useful beauty tool for myself. I cannot help sharing it to you all. I said how important to draw our eyebrows better and lighting resources are really important to draw eyebrows. Actually lighting resources are important to your whole makeup.I recommended a LED light mirror under a post before if I did not remember wrong. But at that time, I did not use it myself that much and I just thought It's a good choice for someone who is looking for a good mirror. But now I have to highly recommend it. Since these days it's raining all the time AND I get up so early, there is no much natural lighting for me to makeup myself. Then I take out the LED lighting mirror. It surprised me indeed. Really wide-angle viewing. There is a cover on the mirror surface and the cover can be opened as a wider mirror. You can long press the button to change the brightness. That will meet all your makeup demands. When I draw my eyebrows, I can see every eyebrows clearly. I know how to adjust my drawing natural and better.  I did not take pictures of myself. But here you can check it yourself: https://www.amazon.com/Easehold-Tri-Fold-Rotation-Countertop-Cosmetic/dp/B01MG8X4QS/ref=sr_1_1?m=A24N8FLRVFVVCH&s=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1519698602&sr=1-1 Highly recommend it!!!
