What happens if you chalk your hair but don't use a flat iron/curling iron?

Recommended Posts

I've always wanted blue or maybe purple hair. But damaging my hair has always been a quiet fear of mine. Chalk sounds like a good alternative to bleach. (although, it's more temporary.) So what happens if you chalk without the heat?

I read somewhere that a hair dryer will also work to set the color. Is this true?

Yes, it is. I think you obviously should lighten your hair before making it blue or purple. As for I don't like the chalk method, I prefer the way described on Monica's Blog and think it would suit you too.
