i dont know if there is thread like this or not, but let me ask you all ladies.....a routine for your mmu application, and i hope it will really help each other, so here i put format n u can also add if i have missed something

Type of skin: Dry

Type of moisturizer: jojoba oil, coconut oil

Type of application: traditional (swirl,tap, buff)

Step of application:

1, moistures the face & then i apply A.N. rice powder on face & udpp on eyelid

2, i start with a single layer of foundation with kabuki

3, apply e/s (mostly wet application),remove fallen pigment with any small soft brush

4, one more layer of foundation

5, rice powder with powder brush/kabuki

6, apply some blush & redy to go

Time of application: as i am fresher i mostly takes, 20-25 min

Type of skin: combination/oily

Type of moisturizer: beyond hydration by Bioelements

Type of application: MMU mixed with aloe, applied with foundation brush

Steps of application:

1. moisturize and let it sink in, apply sunscreen

2. face primer if I have any, lip balm

3. mix Naughty Chartreux Flawless Feline with aloe in a bowl, apply with foundation brush

4. buff with kabuki if needed.

5. blush, dry application first, then wet kabuki over

6. eye primer (Urban Decay)

7. eyeliner, eyeshadow. wet application

8. lip primer (clinique all about lips)

9. lipstick or gloss

10. dab silk powder (meow's top cat) on my oily areas

11. water spritz

Total time:

15-30 minutes (?)

 
Type of skin: very dry

type of moisturizer: my own blend with shea butter & other stuff- and add Vit. C powder then Neutrogena Dry Touch SPF 55 (I hate it the least of any sunblock)

type of applicationtraditional with a kabuki most days

Steps:

1- Moisturizer & eye cream- let it soak in then sunblock

2- apply foundation

3-apply 1st coat of mascara

4-apply green concealer for redness & finishing powder

5- apply second coat of mascara

6- lipgloss

7- clean-up where I got mascara everywhere but my lashes (I can't see without my glasses)

8- conceal the age spot that makes me crazy

Total time: about 10 minutes- I put eye shadow on at work when I need a break.

Type of skin: mostly oily!!!

Type of moisturizer: i don't really use any, but sometimes, i use a local brand called celeteque

Type of application: the traditional way---using my b.e. heavenly face brush, or b.e. feather light brush or b.e. handy buki brush

Step of application:

  1. wash and dry face
  2. use dickinson's witch hazel toner
  3. put vit c serum
  4. loose powder (fabulous face powder by manila herbal) (using heavenly face brush or feather light brush)
  5. monave saturnina + a bit of sandra as foundation (using handy buki or feather light or heavenly face)
  6. loose powder again
  7. seal with spritz of water
  8. when dry, i put on bronzer (gran marnier by monave or warmth or other all over the face color to give me a sun kissed look)
  9. bit of blush
  10. lipstick (i use burts bees lip balm dipped in edm chit chat)
then, depending on my mood:
  • eyeshadow !!
Total time: i'd say around 10-15 mins or so.

 
Type of skin: Combination

Type of moisturizer: Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream

Type of application: Buff with flat top brush

Step of application: Cleanse & moisturize face, let it set for about 10 minutes, MAC spf 50 primer, let sit for a few minutes, 2 layers of Monave Claire foundation, 1 layer Monave Petal setting powder, MAC blush baby blush, different colors of MAC pigments or eyeshadows, Lancome mascara, MAC lipglass and I am ready to go.

Total time: 15 minutes

 
Type Of Skin: Dry/Combo

Moisturizer: Eucierin Redness Relief & AmLactin 12% Lactic Acid

Application: Tradition - dry with kabuki

Steps:

1) Sunscreen, Sunscreen, Sunscreen!

2) Moisturizer

3) Pure Luxe Cream Eraser or Smashbox Photo Finish

4) Concealer on eye area & other problem spots

5) Usually 2 generous layers with kabuki buffing in

6) 1 coat mineral veil powder

7) Blush or bronzer & rest of MMU!

Total Time = I have no clue bc I do one step then go do other things, then come back & do another, then do other things, I'm kinda weird.. lol

jencc - just curious, what vit c serum are u using - what brand?

i use a local brand that was recommended to me by a friend. a small bottle (25 ml) costs PhP100, roughly USD2!!

Wow that is so cheap, lucky! That is a brand in the Philippines huh?

I have used the Murad Vit C infusin kit & it costs $80..

hi girls thanks for sharing i came to know lot more new.....hi jen its really new for me to use vit c serum in mmu routine but i must give a try, yes u are lucky being in manila, i want to give a visit there wen i will go Singapore, but not sure, if i come i want to do a huge shopping :)

 
Type of skin: combination

Type of moisturizer: Garnier pure+LRP Hydraphase or Clinique DDML

Type of application: traditional, swirl, tap, buff-dry with kabuki

Step of application:

1. wash face (Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2 in 1). put on toner (eau précieuse). put on moisturizer (sometimes i use the primer thingie from BE) and eye cream (Aqua sensation by Nivéa).

2. two generous coats of BE fairly light foundation with the BE kabuki. with the concealer brush i add a bit more on my acne scars and under the eyes.

3. blush (sweety blush lilas rose by Agnès B) .

4. mineral veil with the BE flawless face brush.

5. eye primer, UDPP of course

6. eyeshadow(s), khol/liquid liner.

7. black mascara Clinique long pretty lashes.

8. lipbalm (i have several).

9.lipstick/lipgloss.

10.find my glasses(lol)/put on my contacts.

Total time: about 20-30 minutes. i don't like to put on my contacts before my e/s, so usually i take my time to make sure pigments haven't fall in my eyes and may scratch them during the day.

 
Type of moisturizer: SPF 30+ Sheer Moisturizer by Saphoros

Type of application: Usually traditional buffing, depending on if I'm using loose or cream to powder

Step of application:

Cleanse and tone

Moisturize

Correct/Conceal

On warm days, I use Oil Control Primer by Saphoros underneath my foundation.

Foundation, then blush, then veil, then eyes & lips

Total time: 10 minutes - 20 if I'm experimenting

Type of skin: Oily

Type of moisturizer: Paula Choice's 2% BHA lotion and Olay Complete SPF 15 (morning); Lac Hydrin (evening)

Type of application: Flocked sponge to dot MMU on problem areas (i.e. hyper pigmentation, pores) then Kabuki brush to blend.

Step of application:

1.) Wash face (Cetaphil daily facial cleanser)

2.) 2.5% Benzoyl peroxide (Dan Kern)

3.) Moisturize (BHA and sunscreen in the morning; Lac-Hydrin in the evening)

4.) Silk powder as primer

5.) MMU foundation (Lumiere VV and Luminesse mixed)

6.) Blush

7.) Silk powder as finishing

8.) Eye shadow / Eyeliner / Mascara

9.) Clinique quickliner for lips / Lipstick

Total time: 30 minutes

 
Type of skin: Combination

Type of moisturizer: Miessence Balancing Skin Conditioner & Moisturizer

Type of application: Buff using Kabuki

Step of application:

1- Thoroughly cleanse face with Miessence Balancing Cleanser

2- Apply Skin Conditioner and leave to absorb into skin for about 2 minutes

3- Next apply Moisturizer and let It sit for approx. 5 minutes then conceal under eyes.

4- Gently buff on MMU followed by Finishing Powder

5- Blush comes next

6- Eyeshadow,eyeliner & 2 coats of Black Mascara.

7- Final step comes the Lipstick.

Total time: 20 mins

 
Type of skin: Combo - oily/dry. it changes all the time!

Type of moisturizer: Squalane Oil.

Type of application: Depends on which foundation I use.... I also alternate between my Lumiere kabuki, Lumiere flat top and Philosophy flat top.

Meow Purrfect Puss -> Two layers. One layer wet (spritz brush with hydrosol), another layer dry.

Lauress Elemental --> One/two layers dry

Lure --> One/two layers dry

Step of application:

1, after washing, mist with hydrosol, then smooth one drop of Squalane all over face and neck

2, Apply foundation

3, Do eyebrows, e/s and liner

4. Blush

5, Lipstick

6, Hydrosol or MAC Fix+ to set

Time of application: approx.10 minutes (add another 10-20 mins if I do e/s)

 
Type of skin: Combo

Type of : Zoey naturals (out of business now)

Type of application: Kabuki brush

Step of application: apply moisturizer, then mmu, then FP

Total time: 2-3 min for foundation/ fb & bronzer or blush

5 min for mascara & eyelash curling

10-15 minutes
