Clothes Made From Your Pet's Fur - Canine Couture
These are not just ordinary portraits of people posing with their pets. Look a little closer and you will see that the owners are wearing clothing that resembles the fur of their dogs. They’re not just trying to dress like their dogs—they are literally wearing the same thing as them.
These owners have their clothes custom made out of the fur from their pets’ bodies.
This is a series of photographs (part of an ongoing project) by photographer Erwan Fichou, of people posing with their dogs, wearing clothing made from the fur of their own pet dog/s.
The hair, once recovered after brushing, is carefully preserved until the necessary amount for knitting is collected. The hair is spun into balls of 50 grams by a specialist, before returning the fabric via mail to the owner. The hair is then used to construct the garment.
