Hey guys I need some advice!

I've been with my bf since the middle of July, and I know there's still like a month till Christmas time but I need a bunch of opinions in what to get a guy for Christmas. A nice one.

All ideas welcome!!!

uhm i have been with my BF for about the same amount of time, and while my BF i am going to assume is older since you are only in 11th grade boys never really grow up. so....

guys tend to like things involving video games and sports.

so my sugestions would be if there is a semi-pro team of a sport he likes playing at christmass time to get tickets to go to that (these are way cheaper than professional sports games but just as exciting).

if he is into games there may be a certian type of game he likes... be it first person shooters or RPG's you could get him one of those.

if you are not wanting to spend a lot of money you could bake him cookies or his favorite dessert item

if i knew his intrests i could give you more options... but just think of what he loves to do and what would be usefull for doing that. like if he plays the guitar maybe guitar picks and sheet music for some songs he likes

orange made good suggestions. i've been with my boyfriend for 2 and a half years and really struggle with what to get him, he usually wants a video game though. if he has a specific hobby you could get him something related to that..mine likes photography so this year im thinking of getting him something to do with that.

Okay...I read that last line really quickly and thought you said his hobby was "pornography." Oops, haha! Maybe you could get him a webcam or something...

I wish I could make some suggestions but I can't. I never know what to get for my husband. Occasionally, he know what he wants and let me get it for me (as opposed to just buying it for himself) but most of the time I'm completely clueless. This year, we agreed on work clothes...lame, but he needs them, will actually use them, and he can't think of anything else he wants.

It depends on how close you two have gotten so far. If you're in love and thinking about the future, you can get him something more personal; if you're dating and having fun, something less personal. Guys LOVE toys, so something that requires batteries (no, we're not back on pornography, I'm thinking of a radar detector or GPS navigator or video game or something like that). If he likes to read, get him one of your favorite books you think he might like. If it's cold where you live, get him a nice scarf or some gloves. A picture frame with a picture of the two of you might be nice. If he likes movies, get him a movie or a membership to Netflix.Another idea is a basket of supplies for a great date night -- a movie, microwave popcorn, bowls, a bottle of soda, or a picnic basket with plates, forks, wine glasses, cheese, and a bottle of wine. If he lives in a dorm room, maybe a warm fleece blanket to keep at the end of his bed for really cold nights. Or something with his college name on it? I've been with my husband for 10 years, so I've gotten good at gift ideas for him; and he's a pretty normal guy, so hopefully some of these ideas might work for your boyfriend. Good luck!

arrgh i know just how you feel! it's awful buying presents for guys.

i've only been with felix officially for like a month and a half now. it will be two months at christmas. but we still want to get each other things. he's asked for a zippo lighter which ive got him but it seems like such a small gift (even though it was £20) so i've got him a dvd too.

in the past i've got boyfriends

aftershave (always a winner)

tshirts

hats/scarves

watches

wallets

socks (lol)

dvds/cds/home made compilations

a trip to london (that was a good one, but veeery pricey)

foody things- nice spices/oil and things

...and of course the obvious, delightfully cheap- YOU wearing nothing but a bow! heheh

ohh okay... well i think my gifts still apply my bf is 23 i think i said that before and he is just starting college (he took time off before going to school)

but as i said boys are imature.... my dad is 55 and he still buys remote controll helecoptors and likes video games

My husband is getting a Wii for Christmas... only because we're married now, and I'll be seeing him everyday for the rest of my life...

Would I have given it to him or any video game related gift while we were in our first months of dating? heck no... I can only imagine him using that against me in spending quality time together... "but it was a gift from you"

When we first started dating I got him a Kenneth Cole watch. nothing overly expensive, just something casual and trendy. Then on his birthday, I got him a Kenneth Cole wallet and shirt, and cuff links, and the next Christmas after that I got him a Kenneth Cole black wool jacket... and now whenever we go out in the winter to a party or to something festive, he always uses his wallet and watch and jacket, and he gets all excited because his accessories are all matchy-matchy.

And it reminds us of when we first started dating.

I think that the girls have given you some great ideas. If you have narrowed it down a bit, we can give you some more ideas or help if you are between two or three things.

sephora has this perfume gift set for men. it comes with a bunch of sample sizes of different brands. it comes with a voucher for a full size of the perfume of his choice in the set. it costs $50.

what's he into? what's your budget?

This is exactly what I was going tosay. The Vivabox (what the set is called) is a great value and gives your man a chance to try 10 different scents before redeeming the coupon for the full size.

Also, in my Sephora, we have some great men's skincare sets and fragrance sets with ancillaries.

Some things I have bought for my fiance for holidays are:

Watch

digital picture frame

digital camera

sweaters/tshirts from his favorite store

cuff links

Dinner to a restaurant he picked

Golf shirts

Tickets to show/concert/sporting event

You can also get creative with your gifts: For example, if he has his own place, maybe you can clean his house and cook him a nice dinner and watch a movie he's been wanting to watch.

I find that guys are pretty simple to please, just make sure you keep their interests in mind when shopping around. It definitely makes it easier.

How about home made Christmas gifts... they reflect your love and affection, or else If your boyfriend loves to wear cool dresses then funky T-shirts with cool messages would be a great Christmas gift for him. Or else guys love gadget than anything else, how about digital camera, GPS... I got an iPod nano for my boyfriend, I got some great deal price from holiday gifts for him section.

What about... that game called Halo. He ALWAYS talks about it. Not sure which one he has cuz theres more than just one right?

Halo is a great game... my son and my daughter's bf play it all the time

yeah there are several.. you would have to find out what video game system he has, and i would get him the oldest one that he doesnt have cause they are all a conected story line so if he plays the last one with out playing the first he will be a little lost

how about a gaming magazine subscription.....buy one for under the tree and the rest will arrive every month.....the gift that keeps on giving!
