It's always a good idea to get a yearly physical. Weak brittle nails can be a result in poor liver or a weak system.

*Don't use nail hardener too much. Wearing nail hardener too often can result in your nails getting too hard that they can crack like glass if you hit them somewhere.

*i find wearing nailpolish everyday really helps keep nails strong.

*refrain from figgiting and bending and biting nails. As stated above painting your nails helps, because you will realize how nice your nails look, you wont' want to play with them.

*Using hand creams helps moisturize nails and hands and helps them not to peel.

*using cuticle oil at night, and massaging them on your cutixles helps stimulate growth and strength. You can use an oil or or cuticle cream specially formulated for growth and strength.

*Getting regular manicures really really keeps your nails nice because they are being maintained.

*stay away from acryclic or gel nails. They ruin your natural nails. There are specific expensive gel nails that don't ruin your nails.

*are you low in vitamins and calcium? it's good to take a vitamin and drink your milk. Get real vitamins. One's that are natural and from the health food store. Not drugstore vitamins.
