i guess it can be both good and bad, but why specifically guns? it should be just protecting yourself in any way you can.
i know here in NY (not sure anyone else), if you fight back to protect yourself and the other person gets hurt, YOU go to jail. for example, if a burglar gets into your house and you attack him/her and they get hurt, it's YOUR fault. that's such bull.
