Vibe Announces 2005 Vibe Award Nominees

As previously reported, Mariah has been nominated for four VIBE awards. Below is the magazine's press release including all of Mariah's nominations.

The nominees for the 2005 VIBE Awards have been announced and Ciara, Mariah Carey, John Legend and Kanye West lead the pack.

VIBE magazine and UPN will present the third annual VIBE Awards on Tuesday, November 15 (8-10pm ET/PT). The show will feature musical performances from chart-topping artists and award presentations by the hottest celebrities from the worlds of music, fashion, television, sports and film.

In order to be eligible for nomination, albums and songs must have been released between October 2004 and September 2005. Nominations were determined by the VIBE editorial staff, headed by Editor-in-Chief Mimi Valdes. Winners in each category will be chosen by votes from music journalists and regional tastemakers, and announced at the two-hour-long VIBE Awards.
