Now by nude lips I don't mean natural-looking lips, I mean the flesh-toned lips, which are EVERYWHERE! I personally love the way it looks on some people, but I cannot do it. I am Japanese and Italian and I have an olive complexion and for some reason on me it just makes me look sickly. Maybe if I try it a few more times I can get used to it, but so far I haven't been able to like it on myself.

So ladies, what about you? Do you nude-lip it up and if you do, what's your favorite product to use on your lips for the flesh-tone effect? Concealer? Lipstick? Which ones?

I don't like it on me, but I have a feeling it's because we have a similar skintone. I'm native american, although I get mistaken for Asian or latina sometimes. I have medium skintone with yellow undertones, so it's hard to find a nude lipstick that looks right. I prefer lipsticks that are my lips but better, which is not really nude, more like a muted coral. I think I choose the bright glosses in your poll over the nudes.

Ironically, I'm in NH too :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Yeah, it's gotta be the yellow undertones that make the nude lip look a little weird to me. Maybe someone on here with a similar complexion will respond and love it and share what products they use. I will wear any shade gloss or lipstick from clear to fire engine red (depending on where I'm going), I just haven't been able to like type nude lip on myself yet!

What products do you use wildflower? When I wear a nude lip, no matter what shade, it just looks a bit sickly but I wouldn't say dead. I have too much of an olive complexion for it to look dead. I've tried different MAC shades and it's always the same for me. I'd like to find someone with a similar complexion and see what they're wearing to pull it of because I'd love to love it on myself!

I really like it, but as you said, to make it look good on me is alot of hard work.  I don't think I have the right products to do it.  I know some people use foundation in their tone and some other methods to get the right shade on the lips....I'm yet to get mine perfect.

I love the nude look. It may be less popular, but I don't think it is a look that will ever go out. It looks way too sexy with a smoky eye that no one will ever give up the nude lip lol.

I love the look, though it's difficult to get the right nude. NARS Madere is pure corpse, Creme d'Nude just turns my lips peach, but NARS Cheslea Girls is just right.

I find I have to be careful, but I really do like the looks. NARS Madere is corpse-lips, Creme d'Nude just turns my pigmented lips peach, but NARS Chelsea Girls gives me the closest to nude look, I can get. When it's done well and not too white or milky, I love the look.

I love the look! I purse my lips and apply a small amount of concealer over my lips so they're the same color as my skin, and it gives the "chapped" effect. I love it sooo much. My boyfriend says it makes me look dead, which is exactly the response I look for.

I love the nude look. I go for nude colors myself. I do think that bright colored glosses are coming though to match with bright colored dresses by the fashion designers. All the bright colors are now in such as orange and purple among others.

I've seen the nude look look wonderful on plenty of women, but I hate it on me.  I'm super fair, and it just makes me look totally washed out.  But then again, I can't do super bright, either.  I fall squarely into the "mid-tone cool" range of colors.

I give nude lips a thumbs up, but like many of you ladies said--i think it has to be the right hue on the right person. For me, the drawback of nude matte shades is that the lipsticks tend to be drying to my lips! That, or I end up wanting to bite it off (ew i know ). I also like nude lips with loracs 3d gloss over them, the one in the flesh toned/light peach/pink shade.

I don't own any nude lipsticks, my nude look is covering my lips with my foundation and applying a sheer pink lipgloss!
