Hi! I have oily skin, but my acne that tends to get dry if i don't apply a TON of moisturizer. My foundation (tarte amazonian clay) does not stay on with my current primer (the famous porefessional by benefit). I also do not like paying the hefty price for a primer that doesn't help. I also would like recommendations for a good finishing powder and concealer. The concealer would be for blemishes, not under eye.

Sounds like me!

I found that I had to get the cleansing/moisturizing routing working first, before the makeup would set right. It's taken some time for me to figure out the right routine for me, lots of experimenting with different cleanser, etc. as when I didn't have acne, anything with Salicylic acid dries me up quickly and increases oil production.

So during the time of the month for me, I use Burt's Bees Natural Acne Solutions cleanser toner and moisturizer. The rest of the time, I currently use Clean&Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser, Simple Soothing Facial Toner, and Olay Fresh Effects Swirled Mattifier (it has a greenish tint to counteract the lingering red from breakouts).

I know ELF has some primers that you can try ($6), and for the concealer, you might want to look into using corrective concealers for blemishes and under-eye (ELF has a kit for$3), then using your regular colored concealer on top.
