Yes it matters, for the big brands they usually have hight prices, but I only prefer the prices which are affordable for me.

 
Yes price is a factor in terms of make-up quality, and it does matter... You get what you pay for.

Sometimes yes, but it doesn't always mean that pricey product is the best. 

 
If anyone has been to a make-up trade show, then they would know that price does make a huge difference. 

When IMATS comes to Canada (Vancouver / Toronto), the vendors are all Professional brands usually from the US, so taking into account there are no taxes, no exchange rate, no discount % rate, the prices are still much lower then paying full price including your pro discount rate.

Of course we're talking about quality professional brands here, not street make-up brands like they sell at Sephora, drugstores and department store counters, yes those brands definitely have their merits, but in terms of price=quality, huge difference. 

 
I think you get what you pay for. If something is more expensive it generally means it is better quality and has better ingredients in it for your skin. I do love some drugstore options, but 90% of my makeup is high end because it works for me better
