Memebox Colorboxes

Recommended Posts

Hey guys! Memebox did indeed send me the orange box to review. I think it was random because they didn't have me fill out any sort of questionnaire. And unfortunately, I hate orange.

I'll have to wait till nightfall before I can take some pictures of the lipstick itself and the liner (my lightbox doesn't like any sort of daylight).

EDIT: I went into my closet to take pictures.

for those who want to round out the "blue" look with a blush, I so highly recommend Anna Sui's Rose Cheek color in 100 Mystic Rose

It just adds a subtle color to your cheeksanna-sui-rose-cheek-color-n-100.jpg

I have some other options, since the lippie is actually purple you could use Lioele Crystal Muse Blusher in 02 - Soft Lilac or It's Skin Babyface Petit Blusher in 02 - Pure Lavender.

The lipstick from the orange box looks great! I'm even kind of digging the orange liner. I read that the orange shadow isn't super pigmented, maybe I'll try it as a blush instead!

Guess I won't be passing this on to my sister after all. Good thing I didn't mention it to her. lol

Also thank you for posting the pictures deareux. :)

Ooh, I like the idea of using the shadow as a blush.

I just found this for the red box: http://boxesfordays.wordpress.com/2014/06/28/memebox-color-box-1-red-review/

I ordered all the colour boxes and now have seen all of them. It seems like the items in each box is the same, just with the respective colours. But given the price, I think it's a good deal still. I already have a lot of nail polishes but those colours are still nice. The only thing I think I probably won't use (unless it's Halloween  ) is probably the blue lipstick. But if you girls have any idea on how to incorporate that into a daily routine, please let me know!

If the blue lipstick works like Lipstick Queen's Hello Sailor as I have a feeling it does, it's not blue on your lips. That's the "colorful twist" mentioned in the box description: It looks navy blue in the tube but turns a lovely berry shade once on. It seems more like a tinted lip balm than lipstick.

Tried it yesterday and you are spot on, comes off a nice berry color in the end.

I got this box pretty much entirely in the hope that it would be in there!

sorry, I didn't know - someone else did this on another thread for glossybox, so I thought it was okay - they were looking for the actual june box. I thought that the swapping was okay, as that isn't really a forum.

but now I know.

Ya know, now that I've thought of it....what does one do with red eyeshadow? I'm really not sure how to incorporate this into a normal routine but challenge accepted.

use it as blush?

I guess it would be pretty cool with a deep brown color and to blend it with that.

I wear blood-red (especially blood-red *metallic*) eyeshadow on a regular basis.  Red on the lid, brown in the crease, a champagne-y highlight color, and brown liner.  Chocolate-covered cherries!  Or if you're a horror fan, blood mixed in dirt!  It's actually much prettier than I expected.  I only tried it one day because I happened to have a red eyeshadow I had *no clue* what to do with, but brown crease/liner is a default thing for me, so I tried it, and I was surprised by how much I liked it -- and have ended up adding it to my color combination library/repertoire.  I think the brown liner is the key.  Black liner makes it look OH HAI HALLOWEEN COSTUME, and no liner makes it look unfinished and special effects-ish.

ETA:  And I'm 42, have no social life, and work for a bank, so I'm not talking about a club look.  It's everyday for me.

    • Yet whilst more and more land-based casinos are being closed down, online casinos are thriving. The advantages of playing casino games online are numerous. The bonuses at casinobonusesfinder.com are just an example. If you have only ever played in a brick and mortar casino, the advantages of playing online will soon become very clear to you. The first thing is the bonuses obviously. I feel that you have way more options online.
    • I think your nails are sexy as hell and even shaving legs is something I have thought about. It is girly but I like that feminine touch and some women are very fucking turned on seeing a guy express that side of himself, especially if it comes to outdoing the woman with even better nails, or wearing sexier lipstick than her. Like you said if it is sexy/classy and wild and makes you feel very deluxe and sexy then go for it!! Why not?? People have an issue with it then f*** them. always gonna have haters. They are just jealous, we support you!! -Micheal

    • I regrew my hair and you can too. –I've been bleaching my hair on and off since forever. My hair wouldn't grow any longer it would just snap off. I've dreamed about having thick, long hair. And when I say dreamed, I mean it quite literally. So I decided to do something about it. My friend suggested Biotin when we were talking about my hair loss. I’ve tried like 4 different brands until I found that the best one for me. For me, the best is https://bit.ly/2KiqCge my friends also use this one.
