Popsugar Must Have September 2016 Box Spoilers

Recommended Posts

I have no willpower, every time I would see the pic below or any email with the word "fall" in it my FOMO would start going wild. Resubscribed.  Will quit in October, swearsies.

Hello!  I am new here and this will be my first popsugar box!  I'm so excited to get it!

I just saw this posted on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/PopSugarMustHave/photos/a.373387302766012.1073741828.337959746308768/934218876682849/?type=3&theater

It's a cool hat but I am NOT a hat wearer so I hope everything else is good!  I was hoping for a scarf or that awesome throw on the popsugar must haves box page.  :D

I prefer the color of this hat to the one in last falls Box of Style, but I don't wear them enough to tempt me into purchasing this box.

I just got shipping notice. I meant to cancel and I must not have so the box is coming. Not so wild about hats only because I look ridiculous in hats but my daughter can probably use it.

But not to be a lame Debbie Downer I'm hoping the rest of the box rocks and that people who look fabulous in hats love it!

I can't rock that hat, hat's just look stupid on me. If that is the hero item, I'm wondering about the rest of the box. Received my shipping notice yesterday, so will probably get it sometime next week. My boxes seem to travel the country before I get it, lol. I have 3 more months on this sub, and I'm not going to purchase another. I buy myself a gift sub, so that it doesn't auto renew. I always forget to cancel in time LOL.

I'm on the fence about the hat. I have an small head, maybe that's why hats usually work for me. But I NEVER wear them. I like hats and people tell me I look good in them, but I usually only wear them in the winter.

I guess we'll see when it gets here.

Now what kind of awesome snack will there be?

Got my shipping notice for September Box.  2.4lbs.  I figure one item will be Lisa Sugar's new book!!!! Plus the hat.  I am hoping for more Goodie Girl Cookies, or maybe some Dollop frosting, or maybe something fall themed, or maybe some of those fancy gummies that look like shoes or lips since this box is geared towards fashion?

Ehh...kind of split on this month. I LOVE the hat, and I'm sure I'll get good use out of it this fall, the nail kit is pretty useful since I don't have any of those tools, and the flint roller is ok, but I can't stand that hair mask (I already got a sample size in another one of my boxes and I hated it), and that lip lacquer is too red.

Last month's was definitely better than this. I've been using the Cargo blush on a daily basis and am getting good use out of everything else too.

OK, so the book did not show up in this box.  I am a little scared for the Fall LE box now.  But as far as the items in the Sept box, they are all useful and I love the color of the lip gloss.  Hair masks will be welcomed as fall turns to winter. 3 of the items will go into my purse!  Great box!  @@JenniferV, thanks for the early spoilers!

I am excited to receive mine! I am not the hat type of person but I hope I can pull it off. :D I am slowly building my Parisian wardrobe for our trip and thought that hat would be a good addition.

I like it, except for the hair mask which has been way over done in the sample size sub boxes.

Can't wait to get it in my hands!

Love the look of this box! My fingers are crossed the hat works on my large head and curly hair. Popsugar- you read my mind on the nail-kit That's going to go right in my purse. The lint roller will end up in my daughters Christmas stocking! She has more cats than I can count and is always wearing a part of them on her somewhere . The lip lacquer might be miss for me, but I'll try it. The snacks are made of things that I like, I'll give it a try, or let a friend finish them, the hubby I know won't. I wish I had that hair Masque now! I had a major fail trying to henna my hair and it did not "take" and was reputed to be a conditioning effect for your hair, but it actually stripped mine as it continued to wash out from day one. So my hair is terribly damaged.... Popsugar how did you know I needed it? P.S. - Please Beam my box here now!

LOL - just received my shipping notice and I couldn't remember what was in the box.  I'm going to say it's a reflection on the box rather than my memory

So I don't hate this box, I kind of really like it. The hat is cute, I put it on and liked it.  Then I took it off and realized the white band on it is styrofoam and took it off.  It's now really blah.  I craft, so I'll sew a white ribbon band on it.  But $58?  You joking?  It's the same quality I can get from Wal-Mart or Claire's.  As in, not very.  It's a generic feltie hat and all black.  So I like it, but I wouldn't pay that much for it.  Maybe $15.

The hair mask as the other big ticket item will be great if it works, but if it doesn't, the box starts to become a bust.

The lint roller is great!  My husband travels a lot for work and he'll steal this easily.

The nail kit is cute.

The lipstick - well, I have no idea.  The shade looks great and might look good with a muted eye shadow but... it's broken.  It either melted or was smashed (see pic).  The PS box is fine, and the packaging it came in is fine, so I'm going with the top melted in transit which means it most likely melted - why you'd put cheap meltable plastic on lipstick you are charging $22 for and put it in a shippable box where it's warehoused for several months, then shipped standard is beyond me.

The biggest bust in the box is the food.  In fact, all the food has been busts.  I liked my first dark chocolate espresso beans but they were a discontinued item, dumped on the box to get rid of them.  I get the organic/gluten craze is in full swing despite 90% of gluten avoiders don't need to (as they aren't celiac sufferers) but they are always nasty.  Between stale and/or gross food items, these are complete busts.

All in all, I'd value this box personally at around $35 with the items I could use, $50 if I can get into this lipstick.

That's just the packaging.  It's like that on all their lip and nail colors.  You can see it on their website in product photos.

That's odd, but stands out I suppose.  I still can't get into it.  Going to have to dig out some pliers.  :D  I assumed since grunting and spinning didn't work, that it was holding it in.

    • I am putting more emphasis on the undereye area. I'm 35 and my skin needs more moisturizing. Twice a day I apply eye serum under eyes, and I never miss this ritual as after several weeks of continuous use I see amazing results: moisturized skin and absolutely no puffiness under eyes. I am using this one from Verneso https://www.amazon.com/s?k=eye+cream&hidden-keywords=B07PPW6J7M&ref=nb_sb_noss_1 Many undereye serums dry out the undereye area and this results in fine lines and wrinkles. Verneso bee venom eye serum contains peptides, vitamins A and E as well as Shea Butter which rejuvenate, tighten and smoothen the undereye area. For me it's the best undereye serum, and I will definetly buy one more bottle during this Amazon Prime Day.
