Here is a recipe one of my friend's has used many times and tastes great and is very simple. You use Bisquik.
1 c peanut butter
1/4 c vegetable shortening
1/2 c boiling water
2 c Bisquick® baking mix
1 c granulated sugar or brown sugar -- packed
<!--BODYOFRECIPE-->Heat oven to 400 degrees F, moderately hot.
Blend peanut butter, shortening, sugar and water with electric mixer or spoon until smooth. Stir in Bisquik.
Drop small teaspoons on slightly greased baking sheet. Flatten with bottom of glass dipped Bisquik or press with form dipped in Bisquik.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes about 6 1/2 dozen.

NOTES : I usually dip the fork in granulated sugar instead of Bisquik. I have found these cookies work well with any kind of biscuit mix.
To liven up the recipe a little bit, when the cookies come out of the oven, you can dip a hershey's kiss in the middle of them. (I'd wait about 4 minutes after they come out of the oven so the kiss doesn't melt)
