Yes! I think it said it can take 10 business days so after 10 business days I emailed. Then nothing. So I followed up at 20 or 25, they apologized and immediately refunded my credit card. Putting email chain in spoiler.

Hello-
I sent my October Birchbox back (return to sender on 10/16/12). I know
that the East Coast experienced the hurricane and loss of power, mail
services etc.
I was wondering what the status of my refund of money is as it has been 31
calendar days ( and 23 business days (excluding Veterans day a federal
holiday, but not including the days Birchbox was closed due to the
hurricane).
If you could please update me on when I can expect my refund I would
appreciate it.

I woke up today, logged into my Birchbox account to see what I am getting.
I am not happy with my box. I am getting only 4 items only one of which
is beauty related.
I do not feel I am getting my monies worth and when my box arrives I want
to return it to sender.
If my box is returned to sender will my credit card be credited $10?
I also would like to cancel my subscription which I know I can do from the
website but if I cancel will this interfere with me getting my money back?
