I don't think they're any worse than the ones they released last year.  Especially at this price point.   I guess I didn't expect them to be spectacular though.  With welcomeoffer20 or mobile20 you could get both boxes for about $22.50 which is only slightly more than buying two birchboxes.  I'm not planning on getting them for myself but I have a friend who would probably love them, I might send them to her.   The CEW box was definitely better when Beautybar did it.

I almost pulled the trigger on the $18 one last night but decided against it.  There really isn't anything in either box that's jumping out at me as a must have.  I may use some of my Birchbox points and snag up the Mermaid LE instead.

Sigh... I was so excited, now I'm SO DISAPPOINTED.  Will be skipping these.
