I try to clean my purse out about every time that I am at work, because I am bored. Usually, it is just gum wrappers, bank deposit slips, and receipts.

I soooo need to clean my purse right now. I know it is littered with gum wrappers, old reciepts and toys that my son always asks me if I will "Hold" for him and they just accumulate.

I need to take an oath to carry a smaller bag that does not hurt my back so badly that half the time I leave the darn thing in the car and just take my wallet out when I go in a store. Only reason I carry it is for the make up anyways. And speaking of that,...my touch up bag has become a full make up kit. Only makes sense that if you can only wear one lipstick at a time,...why carry 10 in your touch up bag? Incase you change your mind 10 times AFTER you leave the house? I seriously need to get a clue!:vogel:

So I need to reevaluate what I actually need and use and stop toting so much crap around.

Periodically I have insane organizing fits,....but usually nothing stays organized for very long. I have so many purses in my closet now that when I switched purses, I never fully emptied them out. Lord only knows what I would find if I took the time to empty them all out and sort through the crap. Maybe I would find the MAC lipstick that I have been looking for for months. I know I remember seeing it,...just don't remember where. Don't you just hate that.

Lucky me, I got one of those "Purse Brite" organizers (as seen on TV) at a Christmas party a couple of weeks ago, and it has made a big difference in the interior of my purse. It's designed so you can switch purses easily (just lift it out and put in new purse), which is so funny because I never switch purses! But it has lots of pockets so I was able to put all the little stuff in there. All that's in the middle is my cosmetic bag, and my wallet (which is attached to my key lanyard and my cell phone so that everything comes out together - I wear it around my neck when I'm driving so I'll remember to clip my keys back on and I won't lock them in the car). So I'm happy to be organized, at least in my purse.

The weirdest thing I carry, probably, is a little mini stapler (it's so tiny, and cute and pink - I've had it since college 100 years ago). And rdenee, I too have a trashy romance novel in my purse, so it's not completely "clean" either, LOL!
