Deep conditioner after styling??

I read in a book where a stylist....I think Oscar Blandi said that there are 3 ways you can use a deep conditioner. 1 way that i'm interested in was apply a small amount in your hands and rub together to heat it. Then after you have washed, conditioned, and styled it... apply the deep conditioner to it to make the hair shine. I was just wondering if anyone had tried this, and if so did it work?? I don't remember the other 2 things you can use it as right now, but I will post it later when I go look.

I don't think this would work in my hair. I t would totally weigh it down- especially if it was right after I styled. But I do use a deep conditioner a few times a week after I shampoo. I just let it sit with a shower cap over my head for about an hour and then rinse and style.
